Boomer Hate Thread

Boomers love to steal from everyone around them, they're spiritual gypsies.

PL time: my Boomer parents bought a rundown Mobile home Park (they owned all the land and all the units), and I worked there for free for close to two decades under the agreement of when they go, I inherit it. I did everything: maintenance, landscaping, plumbing, renovations, evictions, all the paperwork. I turned that place from a slovenly, unlivable shithole, into an actually nice place to live. And I did it all for free, like a retarded Reddit Janny. My mom had one of her schizo episodes a few months after my dad died, and decided to sell the place. And you know what I got?

I got zilch, nada, goose egg, a vacation to cwcville, bossmanJack's bank account, the same amount that Ethan Ralph's baby mama receives in child support, absolutely fucking nothing.
A huge portion of my life wasted, so many lucrative opportunities passed up, numerous life-altering injuries, all for nothing.

And her defense? "iM sOo bRoKe, I nEeD tHe mOnEy oR iM gOnNa sTaRvE1!1!". Even though her income WITHOUT the rent from the park was still close to $8,000 a month between her social security and my dad's pension, and her actual outgoing expenses with all of her bills plus food, gas, and leisure was under $2000.

Everyday I dream of the day of the pillow.
Sorry fella, but in this scenario you're the sucker for not getting anything in writing and working for free for 20 years. You can't trust anyone.

Moreover, how are Millennials the children of Boomers when Gen X are between them?
Generations are defined by 15 year intervals. That isn’t exactly a lot of time, anyone who came middle to late is practically guaranteed to have children two generations apart, especially when you factor in the modern world of college and first career leaving most people having kids in their mid-20s.

If you add the maternal and paternal ages you get an average parental you get 29.4. That is with ten year old data and it's even higher now.

Having kids in the mid twenties (25y) if it ever was that low was before 1970 for men and around 1980 for women.

Because the concept of generations is relatively new and the rules are still pretty arbitrary. Young boomers and old silent gen gave birth to Gen X. Old boomers and young Gen X gave birth to millenials. Also keep in mind that teenage pregnancy has only been on the downtrend recently (in civilized countries.)

I'm noticing that every generation is being hated for being the selfish "me" generation.

Also people who say they hate their generation are snowflake house niggers lmao.

My generation is insane, but there is no need for a Millennial/Zoomer hate thread since this a Millennial/Zoomer hate forum.
Hating on a generation does not mean hating every single individual in that generation. Its hating on the the generalities of that generation.

Also, the Millennial generation is bad for the opposite reason. They are too selfless to the point of self-hatred and meekness as a reaction to the Boomer generation.

Getting my ass and doing job hunting, it really is enlightening to see how easy Boomers had it on a fundamental level. So many of the leadened masses are completely ignorant about most topics within their field to the point where it starts feeling like playing a game of 20 questions, though I get punished for every wrong answer via a hit to my sanity.

That article didn't exist, but I do agree with the rest of what you said

If you're wondering why we don't have a moon base, even though it's been possible since the 1960s, boomers decided to waste all that money on the retarded nigger warship. Yes, it would have been very difficult to build most of the stuff and probably would involve a guy literally going out there with the. Manually actuated jacket, but that is perfectly possible. With 60s and 70s technology.

Are you telling me NASA unironically listened to this bitch?

Old people used to be useful, right? They would help watch grandkids, still do simple stuff around the house/garden, pass on valuable wisdom and advice, and so forth? What the hell changed, just atomization and the breakup of communities and family units? The implementation of a state welfare program that you could invest in to take care of you instead of investing in kids and grandkids?

Seriously, I can't fathom that so many cultures enforced the whole "respect your elders" thing if THIS is how they behaved. This has to have been a recent phenomenon.

This is the main one. Boomers and silent gen are the first generation that could plan on #childfree retirements.

All we had to do was send them to Liberia in the late 1800s and we’d have been on Mars by now.

Liberal/Left boomers are the most aggravating, to me personally. Talked to a coworker recently, who thankfully retired by now. Talked about neighbors, I told her how a friend of mine had problem with package deliveries, as some mudskin neighbors would either steal them from in front of his apartment door, or the retard delivery person would give it to them outright (they sometimes do this if you are not home, give your shit to some neighbor so that they then give it to you once you are home, high trust shit). The mudskins wouldn't give back the packages, police got involved over time, culminating with social workers begging my friend and the police not to pursue charges etc. My coworkers reaction? "Oh how cute, they thought those packages belonged to them".

And reading the gypsy thread, I was reminded how many boomers I used to know had romantic views of the gypsies. Even after some gypsy hordes came through, stole everything that wasn't nailed down, and shat up every place they parked their trailers in so bad you thought you were in a designated shitting street, not a white neighborhood.

Lots of weird positive views on muslims as well. "in al andalus christians, jews and muslims lived peacefully under muslim rule" yeah right. At least that shit stopped ever since we got overrun with muslim faggots, mostly.

I was reading through the thread and I saw a few people touch on this but no one has really gone into detail about it. One thing I have noticed about boomers over the years is that they do not understand the idea of scarcity.

When boomers see things like Action Comics #1 selling at auction for millions of dollars, they assume that the reason it's valuable is because it's old. That's somewhat true, but the main reason why it's valuable is because it's very rare. Back in the 30s and 40s, comic books were viewed as disposable products the same way newspapers were, so people would read it once or twice and then throw it away. Not too many people collected comics back then, so now there are not many original copies of AC #1 left hence why it's worth a lot of money.

Same thing with the T206 Honus Wagner baseball card. It's valuable not because it's old, but because only 57 copies are known to exist. If someone found a box full of those cards in a warehouse somewhere then the value would plummet overnight. Boomers don't seem to understand this. I'm sure you remember when you were a kid your parents telling you to save your comic books or Pokemon cards because one day they were going to be worth a lot of money. Well, we followed their advice and now all those things are worth next to nothing because there is no market scarcity.

This even applies to other things that aren't collectibles such as college degrees. Back in the day, if you had a college degree it pretty much guaranteed you a good job with a high salary. The reason for this is that not many people had degrees back then so it was seen as sign that you were highly educated and well qualified. Then our boomer parents told us that we all needed to go to college and get a degree because we needed it to get a good job. Now everyone has a college degree so it's no longer seen as special and doesn't even guarantee you an entry level position.

Not entirely true... while im sure with inflation I lost money if you take dollar amounts of what packs costed is sales I made money on my Pokémon, magic cards, and yugioh cards.

Not life changing money but a decent chunk of change. That said most of it came from my habit of buying first edition boxes of booster and if I never opened the Pokémon ones that would of been life changing...
