Nolan actually did some damage to his parents though. Then again, he's presumably stronger than they ever were by now.

Nolan started training almost from crib so of course. Mark's powers didnt manifest until later so he was allowed to live a normal-ish relaxed live until then. Nolan was only able to show him a bit of the ropes before having to drop the hero act.

So yeah, young Nolan easily surpasses Mark.
The difference between this and the Omniman vs Invincible season 1 finale is astonishing. Why does this fucking show have such bad animation? It looks like a cutscene in a flash game on newgrounds.

I do watch the show, and I generally like it for the most part, but the compositing and the animation is just so lackluster. Even just a bit better compositing, slightly better fighting choreography, or hell just a teensy bit of fluidity in the frames and I’d be a happy camper. Please Amazon.

The worst part is that fans are getting scenes and doing touch ups to the animation for free, to show Amazon that this could easily be improved and they did it in their spare time.
Slave labor. Or lack of it since they've said they're not using that North Korean studio anymore.
I dunno, man. I've given up on the show having some parts better than the comics at this point. Even looking back on season 1, shit was way too melodramatic. It's just so obvious now because they're dragging the hell out of Nolan's redemption arc and having an "emotional" ten minute scene every episode.

The comic has better visuals than the actual most visual medium's version now.
why am i saying now?
the comic always looked better
yes, even the scratchy dot eyes cheap beginning art

“Comics are for kids” niggas being like.
I'm confident the reason for that is Kirkman figured they just never needed anything beyond that so they never advanced their tech in those directions, but never considered that would mean they wouldn't have useful tech to give to their slave races because he's an idiot.

Kirkmann’s idea for the viltrumites was basically “what if krypton didn’t blow up? So we have a lot of kryptonians very much aware that some yellow solar energy exposure turns them into space demigods.”

Problem is that he didn’t truly explored the idea and possibly got some cold feet by having the scourge plague being their “krypton exploding” equivalent, so there are a couple left now. He just basically said they all become space conquerors and that’s it for the most part. I guess it stands to his rather nihilistic worldviews.

Unless this is some epic AI fakeout, I have some very bad news
we all knew it was going to look like shit but this is a new low

This is a reminder why most matches in space look like poopie at their very base idea, it is hard to sell the sense of impact when there is no gravity or points of reference.

Shit like this is why DBZ knew better than to make any fights set in the vacuum of space.

Oh yeah, the animation gets unironically worse and I legit can’t understand why. It couldn’t be a budget or time thing, they have that a plenty.

that was easily the dumbest thing he's ever written
it should be dead and forgotten

He wrote the Whisperers act from TWD, so that’s a contender too.

if kirkman wanted to be funny he would have had a viltrumite infiltrate earth under-cover similar to nolan, but this guy would have gotten hooked on dragon ball z so his fighting style would be based off of how saiyans fight. hell, make viltrumite vinny make use of that "superior intellect" viltrumites supposedly have by having him create a beam cannon he can fire from his hand kamehameha-style.

It also makes their enemies look stupider because if their weakness is a specific frequency why the fuck doesn't Cecil have entire air sirens playing it to immobilize them if it's actually just that simple? He should have just put Conquest in a sound studio or something and that would've genuinely slowed him down for at LEAST a few seconds longer.
That monster from S1 is presumably still alive as it was shown “breathing” after Mark and Nolan electrocuted it. Honestly what they should have done is toss Conquest into a large, stadium sized chamber with it and have the thing “wake up” if his adrenaline kicks in or heartrate rises. At the very least it would hurt him enough that other heroes could finish him off for good or even send in the Reanimarks. I mean they must have kept it somewhere large since they teleport it in front of Nolan and he thought he killed it in Japan.

Also Atlantis exists. Surely those ugly fish people have some tech or sea monsters to call upon. I mean living underwater with all that crushing pressure would still make you somewhat durable enough to withstand a generic Viltrumite for awhile.

Okay, it wasn't a complete shitshow. That scene was after the animation budget was used up. Thank god.

Thragg ordering the cleansing was a retarded fucking change though. It should've been kept vague. Having one extinction event immediately after another is ridiculous, especially when the first was self-commited. They should've kept Kregg punching Thragg for saying Mark and Nolan would live.

I just discovered something utterly indefensible though.
this is a mess.png
Either they are reusing Young Nolan's design because they're that cheap or this nigger seriously lived through the purge before getting his ass beaten by his parents who also lived through it.

I know how the comic ends, yet somehow managed to not get spoiled on Viltrum getting the Planet Namek treatment. Very cool.

I understand that an animated show and a graphic novel are fundamentally different media formats but goddamn what a stark ass downgrade.

I really don't understand this Calarts trend of sanding off any and all rough edges to make the most bland and generic product possible.
I think they just wanted him to look more human in the show. Other characters still have rougher qualities, like Allen looks basically the same.

More details is more work.
Also this. The animators on Dragon Ball Z reportedly hated working on Cell because of all his individual markings. I imagine that's why, in large part, Super Hero was CGI.

My autistic brain couldnt help but picture Invincible but with the absolute bonkers censorship that DBZ had in early dubs

Nolan: Too bad its Sunday, those train cars would have been filled up tomorrow.

Cecil: Look ! I can see their parachutes! They're ok!

Conquest: Take it to the next dimension with you.

Damien Darkblood: I come from HFIL

And of course, Allen would be called "Big Orange" lol

Thats why Frieza was brought back instead of Cell (even tho the latter would have been a smarter option). The animators refused to go through that shit again.

Wow. I knew Viltrumites were stupid, but I had no idea they were this retarded. "HEY THE EMPEROR JUST DIED SO I'M TAKING OVER. ANYONE GOT A PROBLEM? YOU? OK YOU'RE DEAD. ANYBODY ELSE? OK NOW GO KILL EACH OTHER UNTIL I SAY TO STOP" and they actually do it. The fact any of them were alive to get killed by a plague is a miracle.
HEY NOLAN, YOU REALLY TRUST THADEUS? YOU IDIOT. YOU SHOULD TRUST ME. I WON'T MAKE YOUR KIDS FIGHT EACH OTHER TO THE DEATH, I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
AW SHUCKS OUR PLANET WAS EXPLODED NOW WE CAN'T KIDNAP EARTHLING SLAMPIGS TO REPOPULATE OUR RACE IF ONLY I DIDN'T HAVE US POINTLESSLY MASSACRE EACH OTHER HOW COULD THADEUS DO THIS

But half-seriously: isn't that more Freddie Mercury's retardation, and other Viltrumites go with it only because he could rip them apart with his bare, bear hands?
