Post videos of people dying - Self explanatory really

I think the difference is hope. At least with mortars you might hope you get lucky and they all miss, or stop landing around you, regardless of how likely or not that is.

But some low flying drone just inching towards you, knowing some guy is watching you on a monitor dozens of miles away and has the time to wait for the best moment to kill you and there's nothing you can do but wait for it to happen.

That's what's struck me about these videos that you see now of drone strikes. The targets always seem to have just given up. It's so personal yet impersonal at the same time. Really dystopian stuff.
Of course there are more painful ways to die, or just get horrifically maimed, in war. It's more the idea that there's some fucker at the other end of the transmission watching you shit yourself in HD or whenever, and then dropping a bomb on you and saying 'lol, wasted' that I find horrifying, possibly. It's kind of analogous to being killed in a crash with a self driving car in a way. It's not they your death would be any different practically speaking, but I feel quite viscerally that I'd rather be killed by a human drunk driver than some robot. Maybe it comes down to the fact that, at least if a human kills you, your death had some kind of impact or meaning, even if it's just on that person, but if it's just due to a malfunctioning machine then it just feels completely meaningless. And about the 'hope' thing, I agree with that to an extent, but also if it's some random occurrence, then at least you've got the cope that it was 'just my time to go' or whatever. Idk, I'm just rambling, but something about having one of those little drones buzzing towards me, knowing that it brings inevitable death, just seems horrifying in a different way to being shot or blown up by a mine.
morbid curiosity
That's basically all you need to say. The fact that there's already a term for it shows that it's not even that weird, like rubber necking at a car crash.

Kinda curious. Why watch people die? I'm not making fun of anyone doing it. I'm not your dad so I'm not going to tell you what to do. I just don't quite grasp why.

I'll throw in my two cents/reasons here:

- First is caution; like @GemstoneEddie88 said, these videos do provide a good reminder to be cautious around things, and help keep you safe.

- Second is research; the incidents shown provide a solid - and surprising - look at various incidents, and give insight on how people can react to said incidents.

Regarding why we watch these videos-
One category that sort of fascinates me is the drowning videos, especially the Asian ones. A person will be filming a child in a pool clearly drowning and the family will just watch it happen and do nothing to help. There’s several of these. It’s not even a question of what’s happening, they just stand there and watch.
There’s also some videos of mostly black people flopping around in pools, I think it’s called dry drowning cause they’re unconscious but their bodies are still trying to get air, and the person filming them is laughing cause they think they’re playing but it’s obvious they are in trouble.
I just want it to make sense. Why do they either not see the person or child is dying, or they see it and don’t care?
Another category is people who set themselves on fire. To my mind that’s the worst way to die, so it terrifies me and I want to see what happens to try to make sense of it.
Law Enforcement shooting people who deserve it is entertaining and is pretty common even on YouTube.
I don’t watch animals or children being harmed, and I have trouble with women being killed, but it’s usually spoilered with a description so you don’t have to see it if you don’t want to.
Hope that helps.

I personally decided to watch this thread out of a curiosity, and see how fickle the human life is, especially nowadays. Yet it seems to be especially fickle in the Turd World.
In the aspect of "being careful, watchful", I believe this could be a good application in life.

I seriously wish more mass shooters, people who commit suicide by cop, and other retards killed people who actually deserve it more often.
maybe there will be a Columbine-like effect with Luigi, due to all the press he got. and he got good press even.
that depraved homo Gus Van Sant needs to make a movie about Luigi like he did the Columbine kids. Luigi had bbc porn on his phone or something like that, so it should be right up Van Sant's HIV-alley

Don't think the one's been posted yet. Little kid gets hit by the train and is punted like a little green football, killed on the spot. According to the article the grandfather and the kids' brother who were in the cab made it with injuries.

Here's a news article but it's in Vietnamese so you'll have to use translate.
Do they have a barrier for the train, yet not one for the road traffic? The striped white and black barrier that's on the left side of the track. That's too far from the road, it looks like it's set up to try and block the train's path. What the hell kind of cowboy design is this? Was there any visual indicator for the road traffic that a train is about to barrel through?

Oh ho ho ho what have we here? A jeet gets fried trying to scare a monkey from the hotel premises
Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh: A hotel room boy, Pradeep Raikwar alias Ranu, came in contact with a 33 kV power line while trying to scare away a monkey with an iron pipe in the hotel premises, lost his life.

Why watch people die?
Because it's something you rarely get to see and is fascinating. A normal person not working in medicine or law enforcement might see 1 or 2 people die in person in their lifetime if that. To watch someone go from perfectly alive and well to dead in the matter of seconds is endlessly interesting to me. The process of death is also equally engaging. It's also incredible the sheer amount of stupid ways people end up getting killed or dying so there is humor to it. It's also normal and healthy to discuss death and talk about it. We all will die it's the great equalizer so everyone is able to relate.

Holy shit that was like early gaming death sounds when he got lit up. Example:

Most of this thread is comprised of jeets dying, and they aren't people. I love watching them pop off, because it's always in the stupidest and most easily preventable ways.

Hope this isn’t a repost. They added pixies to it but Russian overdosed on a gram of methdaone. Felt bad for his parents, though. I’m sure I’m being a pathetic girl, but I found it quite sad.

WPD link. Can’t archive, sorry!
