According to the Epstein files, sites like 4chan were used as a breeding ground of misinformation to turn the narrative the way they wanted. It’s not a theory, it’s a fact. And politics, by and large, is run by the zealots on both ends. This is a far right (at least definitely now) site, for the most part. The idea isn’t to throw all the crazy conspiracies everywhere and see what sticks, you test them among the easiest to manipulate (ie someone unconditionally on one side) and see what’s believable enough to make it mainstream.

And as an educated human being who mostly sees the good in the rest of humanity, it’s hard for me to accept so many would unquestioningly fall under the spell of a career adulterer and con man. Like once you give up your faith for him, I’ve gotta question if you’re real at all.

I bitch about it frequently, but the vast majority of Catholics, of all persuasions, are Protestants at heart. Pope doesn't like fags, they don't like the Pope. Pope doesn't like wars of aggression, they don't like the Pope. They're all about the VNITY OF THE CHVRCH compared to factional Protestantism, yet they all reject the actual logic underlaying Catholicism which is the belief that the church as an institution IS the final authority.

That is Protestantism. If your allegiance to the Pope is conditional on the Pope agreeing with you, you are not a fucking Catholic in the first place. It's just cultural posturing.
