What a sad existence... like, even when he went to Japan and I can't afford that now, I don't envy being him at all. He can't even enjoy his trip without trying to 1. virtue signal 2. make content.

Golden gai is a tourist trap, but it's also one of the few places you'll find a lot of signs that say Japanese only and turn you away for being a tourist. There's also niggers that try to scam you.
 
Did he really go to Harajuku (assuming he made a typo) just to buy what you could find at any Goodwill? Also lol at Disney being his only reference of something that is "good". Or is he assuming that's what his audience would think? Either way shit is sad.

Didn’t even realize that he also visited Kyoto. The samurai workshop was the only thing that stood out (for reasons he didn’t intend). He managed to make Harajuku look drab.

I know those were just quick blurbs, but it seemed like he struggled to use any other adjective than “ fun” in them. One doesn’t need to be a literary scholar to be an influencer, but it feels particularly lazy here since he desperately wants to be one without doing the work.

There’s a saying credited to Catherine Deneuve that after a certain age a woman has to decide between her face or her ass— to keep more meat of your bones for a youthful face or maintain a slim figure at the expense of your visage.

Jaron got neither.
 
It's sad that this is what womanhood is reduced to for Jazz, cosplaying and dressing up. I'm sure this is the only reason he "decided" he wanted to be a woman, that his sister got to be princess and fairy and he wanted that so, when he was told "but you're a boy!" and they he, innocently, he said "then I wanna be a girl".

It's even sadder that Jazz is only happy when he's dressing up as "girl" or doing performative girly things. That seems to be the only moments when he's not indulging in food. He likes to do pseudo artistic things that he thinks he couldn't do as a guy. Seriously, I'm sure he'd feel great if he could just step out of the house dressed like a mermaid princess or something like it, rather than just wearing normal plain women's clothes. He never wanted to transition into a girl, but into a fairy mermaid princess.
