Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

The US also didn't have anything to give the brits they didn't already have without reploying the USN. Britain had an aircraft carrier, they had carribean bases (Which were too far to really be of use for the conflict). The only real sort of "Fuck you" from the US would arguably not offering refueling aircraft, but that's a more complex issue than it would appear given capabilities at that time and British desire for secrecy)
We actually did help them, just in very sneaky ways. There was a US Navy weather station nearby and weeks before the Falkland invasion happened, they started getting pallets and pallets of the newest sidewinder missiles. And when the Brits rolled through? All of those missiles mysteriously vanished.

I will not power level but this war is fucking up where I live pretty bad. The main thing is the worry of cooking gas Butane and the overall cost of international travel.
Unfortunately faggots like @diroama for some reason aren't bringing that issue up. For a lack of a better term the Asian hemisphere is gonna start burning coal to cook food instead of Butane and its gonna suck.

Eurocucks aren't reliant on Iran Butane so I guess Diroama is turd word or Eurofaggot. Or maybe a Russian lover.
My dad says butane is a bastard's gas.

His post history is full of absolutely retarded takes, it's always some leftist with a grudge.
It's not even well though out leftie crap
He's always been on the political fringes and big into precious metals. The precious metals side explains why he's inclined to believe forecasts of economic catastrophe, the fringe politics part explains the drift towards BRICS. Add in that he's old, thus very susceptible to "newfangled" propaganda. Since the war started I've had the privilege of hearing about how Bibi has been killed about 6 or 7 times, Israel has been turned into a giant crater by Iranian missiles, and how the Lincoln has been sank by a "drone swarm" at least once a week.
After the 3rd bibi killing one has to ask questions

It turns out that Reuters, Al Jazeera, and a bunch of other so-called "journalists" are all just copying forwards directly from Pakistani military WhatsApp groups and posting them as news.
@Mr. Racewar1488 would never stoop to such trash reporting.

AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
I want you niggers to keep this shit in mind the next time you see "sources familiar with the matter" cited.

Straight up izzat-farming wishcasting parroted by retarded journoscum without a critical thought in their empty skulls. Day of the Rope cannot come soon enough.

Serious question, how much damage could one of those F-5s loaded with explosives and missiles do on a one-way trip to idk a US destroyer or an aircraft carrier (could they even get through the security screen)?
My recollection is that the F5 is a light fighter with a bomb load limited to one M118 750lb bomb. Missiles were 2 AIM7's and 2 AIM9B's, although I don't think it can carry the AIM7's and the M118 concurrently. Iran may have adapted it to carry other weapons, but there's not really anything they could do to increase the bomb load.

It also wasn't designed for ground attack and lacks any sort of advanced bomb sight or targeting system.
The F-5 was designed to be a dogfighter and can carry limited ordinance. It has two 20mm M39A cannons, not Vulcans like I stated before, and 7 hardpoints of which only three can carry fuel. And it'd need to carry a shit ton of fuel in order to reach our ships. Combat range is 150 miles at most with a full load but if it carried fuel on all three plumbed hardpoints and ordinance on the other four it could maybe get in range of our ships. Then it'd have to evade detection by the Hawkeyes and the radars on the destroyers which would be impossible unless the Ghost of Tehran is flying that thing at wavetop, which would cut substantially into the range. If it could evade all that there's still the F-35s and F-18s and the F-35 could pick it out even if the waves were lapping at the centerline fuel tank. Let's say the Ghost of Tehran evades all that, the last line of defense are the ship mounted AA missiles and finally the Phalanx. So no, even the venerable Ghost of Tehran would die 100+ miles away from the USS Abraham Lincoln.
Remember, the F-5 is small... Really small compared to modern fighters of any nation.

To add context to the excellent F-5 milsperg removing my need to double cover it:
The F-5 is basically a jumped-up trainer, a trainer you can take into combat. The role it was designed for was a "bargain fighter" for countries too poor to afford even the F-16. The F-5 then serves double duty as your nimble interceptor and your trainer.

Like the Yugoslav G-2/G-4

There is another "combat trainer" from the region that is popular with private operators, but I cannot remember the name.
Or the Czech L-39 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aero_L-39_Albatros

It has short range, minimal combat load. The only things it brings to the table are agility and low cost. Back when the F-5 was being sold and produced, maneuverability by itself was a viable missile defense, especially with flares/chaff. Terminal tracking radar was fairly narrow beam, and IR cameras were low-rez, you could get the missile to lose track of you, especially when you add in the F-5's small size, and missiles weren't very good at resuming lock once launched.
This is no longer true for modern missiles.

Basically you give it a couple air-to-air missiles, and hope for the best. You give it some guns so that it can go strafe medium and non-strategic heavy bombers.

The "Death to America" crowd is such whiny fucking pissbabies

Lol. That's pretty rich given the rhetoric Iran keeps pumping out.
"Please Trump saar, you are harming our izzat. The people might not believe we are in control if you keep threatening us on Trump Twitter"

With this new information, I have to retract my previous statements.
Trump's boomer tweets are no longer cringe they are extremely based because they are making the IRGC cry like little bitches.

"Which is why Trump cancelled the Islamabad talks and told the reporters to fly home."
Trump should sue the WSJ for libel. Again.

"US negotiators only laughed for 5 minutes solid instead of 10 minutes when the idea was floated; clearly the US is waivering and will soon capitulate to Iranian demands"

and Iran has been messaging that they won't actually engage in negotiations until the blockade is gone. They stated over and over before today that they weren't going to engage in negotiations with us in Islamabad and that if any of their officials even met with ours it would be just to restate their demands and intentions. Today's announcement from our side was just that we weren't going to fly to the other side of the globe for that.
That's a pretty big step down from refusing to negotiate until Israel removed as a state. Sounds like things are going in the right direction, we just need to turn up the pressure.

regarding the refusal for face-to-face negotiations "they can call us", I will try to contextualize just how bad of a humiliation this is for Iran.
Face to Face meetings are vital for low-trust camel fucking society. Having in person meetings shows you are important, and also shows you aren't completely lying about everything. Iran has been using US negotiations to farm huge amounts of internal izzat, by showing how the US sent the VP and they just sent a bunch of loser nobodies.
So by Trump telling them to call if they want to negotiate, they are being relegated to "worthless scrub" tier in Iranian society, not even worth an audience.

I have shares in a company that holds a position in the North Sea for oil, the UK government cancelled all new exploration and it's a fucking 78% tax on existing production.

The UK is truly a clown show.
Remember this is a nation screeching about how big a threat Russia is while after four years Euope still imports tens of billions of Russian oil and gas. and that's not counting the shit getting laundered through turkey.

The only way they can force renewables on the public is cut the oil and gas off at the knees. And the average leftist will lap it up like his boyfriends cum even if doubles their living expenses.
The sad thing is you don't have to. Things like Solar don't work so well when you have like 60 days of sun a year, but there is lots of smaller-scale hydroelectic and and tidal options available. But as a geographically stable island, nuclear should be an easy choice, except they let the communists convince them it was icky and only the USSR should be allowed to build them.

But if they don't do their renewables in the most absolutely retarded way possible, there isn't an opportunity for copious levels of turd-world tier grifting.

which is why they want to replace the population with sand monkeys, jeets, and niggers. The are from the the turd world so they aren't accustomed to the power grid being reliable, so they won't know any different when the electric goes out when the sun goes down, that's just more "Part and parcel" to the turd world mind.

This is all true. And Trump has also said that he's not taking the blockade down until Iran negotiates. So.... what's the plan? Either it's to break Iran with a siege or break iran with bomb and bridge day.
They just have to wait for summer. I've already posted you multiple paragraphs and provided you sources to how utterly fucked Iran is on water. If you're still too retarded to ingest that information, you should maybe stop trying to enter informed discussion.

Is Trump implying Bridge and Power Plant day will happen Sunday or Monday? A return to the previous bombings? An operation on the Kharg Islands?
Low chance on a sunday, zero chance on a monday. He's not goign to jitter an open market. Very likely next weekend now that we have our 3rd carrier on station and the Jews are rattling about Hezbollah's ceasefire violations.

I am waiting for the day Trump zigs instead of zagging. Like I think if Trump goes to war on China he'll go in on a monday because the chicoms will assume its a bluff and be caught off guard, but Iran isn't worth breaking your tell.

There's no fucking way a ship in the United States Navy has a galley ladleing out big dollops of hummus. Anyone who thinks you get in line for an hour and get served fucking hummus and don't wrap the cook up in chains and throw him overboard has never shit in a flush toilet.
Again, you msut remember the retard "just asking (retarded) questions" is a bong, and thus a couple ladels of orange, chunky hummus is exotic, high-end cuisine for him.

they arent flush toilets, they are suction powered, atleast the one on the ford is and thats why they keep breaking

Worst than a Eurofag, a Bong. And also gargles Putin's balls which is why he's terminally butthurt over current events & the turd world being humbled.

Considering the state of the UK military, it isn't entirely unreasonable to think that a bong views the default food situation of any military to be atrocious and it only goes down from there

And besides, Europe is too far for Iran to give a shit about them, their only enemies since 1979 has always been the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, none of those countries are European, FYI.
This nigger.

Yeah Iran definitely doesn't export terrorism to europe.

Lets also not forget their pretty tight relationship with Gaddaffi's Libya, and via Assad as well. They assisted him with training and weapons, so Lockerbie, etc are all linked to Iran.

Iran is after all on only home base to the current Al Queda leadership.

Please alert the person programing you that they need to do a better job.

I mean given the state of br'sh culinary landscape I can only imagine what their military chow looks like. I'm going to assume they just save everyone time and source their chow from the same place India does.

Not to power level but I know from personal experience that it takes only a modest amount of spoiled hummus to prevent one of these types of toilets from operating properly.
> Makes a dish of chickepeas, seasame seeds, garlic and little lemon juice
> Somehow has it spoil to the point it causes complete intestinal destruction

Yeah that tracks for bong culinary skill

I wonder how many of them realize that D-Day largely came down to "get there and destroy shit and figure it the fuck out"
Can't help but wonder how a modern day Operation Fortitude would look like. Some fake leaks on the Warthunder forums, a few tweets and shitty photos by totaly legit soldiers, some fake AMA on /pol/ which conveniently gets deleted by the jannies and once the broocsfags and other usual suspects take notice it'll spread around like wildfire.

Jesus. The countries you named are bumps on the bottom of your feet; they’re not even real threats compared to the other powers.
You are one dumb fuck. Disregarding their funding of leftists/islamic terrorism, Venezuela and Iran are also providers of oil for China and a key part of both those conflicts is rendering the Chinese more and more dependent on American controlled oil, helping secure US hegemony and further discouraging an invasion of Taiwan. Cuba is at most an entry vector into the US but can easily be taken care of and in time with some investment turned into a potential ally in the region.

Yes, you are correct those aren't threats on the scale of other powers but by getting them out of the picture you are weakening the ones you have a reason to be worried about. Russia now has to send Iran supplies rather than the other way around, China now has to decide between helping Russia and Iran while also being forced to buy American oil which ain't the most productive course for their Petroyuan ambition. There's this obscure conflict you might wanna read up on.

they arent flush toilets, they are suction powered, atleast the one on the ford is and thats why they keep breaking
IDK how the engineering works, but the toilets on my ship had the amazing feature of being able to run backwards and spew sewage into the berthing room. That was a really neat day.

Gen Z crying about a laundry fire. We'd have killed for simple smoke inhalation.

We went from irreversible economic catastrophe to "remainder of the year and probably into 2027" :story:
It isn’t reversible in the sense it’s lost growth; and yeah you’re gonna feel it now, later in 2026 and your gonna feel it well into 2027 before it lets up. The growth will be hampered and the price adjustments will linger for until at least 2027 before they come back down.

And I’m going to be here to watch you explain it away as “worth it” and “a fair price to pay” and all the other garbage you like to spew out when Trump
Makes a call that results in shitty consequence that you need to justify.

You’re acting like the strait opens tomorrow the damage goes away and it doesn’t. It just gets worse every day with more and more supply/demand shock built into the models down the road.

You’re ignorance on this is astounding.

You don't need economic growth if you eradicate dead wood. The only thing Iran or most of the ME add to the economy is mineral resources which can ne extracted by a small number of personnel.

Bottom line, killing muslims makes us all richer.

And I’m going to be here to watch you explain it away as “worth it” and “a fair price to pay” and all the other garbage you like to spew out when Trump

Y'know what, you right homeboy. I can't believe anyone would think that neutralizing one of the global leaders in exporting terrorism would be worth a temporary economic cost. Especially if it ends in regime change, meaning that they won't need to be sanctioned anymore so their natural resources can be exported to non-shitter countries that evade sanctions.

cant wait for a future democrat government to pay palestine and random niggers a trillion dollars in taxpayer money as reparations. all good as long as the line goes up right? its still heaven on earth for the middle class. will you be bitching about the cost to you when that happens?
also what happened to "the strait must open in a week tops before its too late" when its already too late now?

This isn’t about Iran as a single entity; it is about the strait. And don’t lecture me on sanction evasion; every super power makes their exceptions for their own good and all ensure they are buyers of goods that ensure sanctioned countries always get their money. Even Trump himself lifts sanctions when it suits.

Farmers are paying skyrocketed costs at a time when they are already on razor edge margins. Their gas has gone up and so has their fertilizer by such a staggering amount the consumers down the road are going to get hit hard.

The military and consumer demand for chips is at a staggering mouth watering level but is being threatened by the fact that we went from an excess of helium now to a shortfall and beyond party balloons being cut obviously the input price of helium is skyrocketed and we within weeks are facing a required reduction in use and some industries will have to shutter production as their supplies dwindle and they can not replenish.

These are just two examples of various products that will cause a cascade effect entirely separate from the oil that is not flowing through the strait which in itself is manifesting as an inflationary matter and could end up being a serious economic disrupter.

Trump has to get that strait opened no matter what. He has dicked around enough sending mixed messages to Iran and bluff calls and crap.

If he doesn’t get the strait opened right the fuck now it’s bad, if he doesn’t get it opened within weeks the disruptions to the entire global economy will lead to in the least a recession and at worst a shortage of resources which is the number one cause of global conflicts and prolonged wars.

If Iran has any capability to hit oil fields or regional infrastructure left and they do so successfully before they are obliterated the impact will be felt for years.

Farmers are paying skyrocketed costs at a time when they are already on razor edge margins.

Farmers have, at all times in the past century, always been on razor edge margins. They always manage to be fine whenever things happen, too. In the US, the lessons of the world wars and the concerns of the cold war created a massive web of safeguards for the agricultural industry in order to ensure the nation will never have food issues. Changing crop planning based on input costs and produce values can be done a fair bit on a season to season basis, and can be done to extreme levels if long term issues were to happen, and none of it will negatively bother Americans until total crop yields drop to roughly 1/3rd of what they normally are. Of course, all the third worlders won't be getting their free mana from the heavens.

we went from an excess of helium

In the 90s the US began selling off the strategic helium reserve. This selloff created 2 decades of the global supply being dumped on the market being nearly 50% higher than was actually being produced. This was quite disruptive towards helium producers, as well as training helium consumers to be used to an unsustainably low and stable price. The end of said selloff was no less disruptive than the severing of the straight.

Anyways, the helium producers of america went from an EXTREME excess of competition to a rather nice set of opportunities. Personally I'll favor the producers over the consumers here, as most Helium is being consumed by the most corrupt industries that are thick with scum and villains.

global economy

Trump is not the global president. He does not have any reason to intrinsically care about the global economy.

global conflicts and prolonged wars

Trump is not the global president, and the US is not the global army. There is no reason to care about global conflicts and prolonged wars.

CENTCOM:
Yesterday, M/V Sevan was among 19 “shadow fleet” vessels sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Treasury for activities related to transporting billions of dollars worth of Iranian energy, oil and gas products, including propane and butane, to foreign markets.

Earlier today, Sevan was intercepted in the Arabian Sea by a U.S. Navy helicopter from guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91), and the merchant vessel is currently complying with U.S. military direction to turn back to Iran under escort.

Trump is not the global president, and the US is not the global army. There is no reason to care about global conflicts and prolonged wars.
Then what the fuck are we doing in Iran?, why did we get involved in another war in the Middle East?
Trump is not the global president. He does not have any reason to intrinsically care about the global economy.
The United States does not have an Autarky economy, not even North Korea could do it.
