See, I didn't see a serious man, that's too explicitly Jewish. Generally most Jewish media people insert talmudic tropes in whatever they make but subtly, in a way you can't really find it out, subversively even. This is the case with Ken levine, Adam sandler, Darren aronofsky, spielberg, even marvel and dc to some extent. When it comes to coen and raimi, they're probably subversive cause they're Jewish but I can't see it cause their films seem American enough. There's no racemixing, no goyim bashing, no simping for browns, no historical revisionism (albeit major ones cause o brother where art thou retcons the fact that the kkk had some Jewish members), no gender subversion, no golemism nothing of the sort. So I'm a bit confused, surely being yids they must impulsively do yid things no?I get the idea that I'm misunderstanding your post. Please clarify.
FWIW, the Coens have made it abundantly clear how jewish they are, if in no other way than with A Serious Man, which is a retelling of the Book of Job, and every character in it is a jew, except for 2 Koreans, if memory serves. I've even posted a screenshot set from that movie in this thread to illustrate jewish attitudes about non-jews.
