UK British News Megathread - aka CWCissey's news thread

https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679 (https://archive.ph/5Ba6o)

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I was once told by a bird enthusiast that the nature autists are "Twitchers", while the normal people are "Birders".

I'm not sure if this distinction in terminology is universal, but he was quite offended when I asked if he was a twitcher. He said those people were anoraks, obsessed with ticking boxes on their "birds spotted" cards. More like train spotters.
I thought twitchers were the people you send to a carehome?
33 species and counting
I don't really keep count. I had a look through a list of birds and I counted 31 that I've seen and identified. I am terrible at basically everything that isn't a songbird, even then I am still pretty limited to just the common ones. Though that's including holidays too. I think my favourite one was a woodpecker, that or one that was critically endangered.

"This is no longer a rural place. It's going to get worse if they get their way." - This is the sentiment of many people who can remember as far back as the 90s. I don't know what it's like up North, but I fear for down here as so much greenbelt land is being built on.
They're classifying a lot of it as "grey belt", or in-fill. Land that "fills in" partially-enclosed chunks between already developed land and proper green belt, and they're building it to take advantage of road upgrades in the area.

This "garden village" is approximately this, most of which is productive farmland, adjoining an already highly congested road network and an under-provisioned railway line:

1777309490578.png

Bit of backstory: they've finally (after a literal century of campaigning) started construction of the Mottram bypass, which diverts traffic from the M67, around Mottram, to the A57 in Glossop, where previously it went straight through the centre of the village. The new road is designed for the capacity of the current traffic through the area. This "garden village" wasn't factored in to the plans, which means the way it'll end up being connected (through stockport road, most likely) will send a large amount of unanticipated traffic onto the M67 and down Hyde Road into Mottram, jamming everything up again.

On top of which, given the demographics of Hyde, it'll be full of pakis before its even finished.

The cuckoo just arrived where I live and I'm demented already by the 5am calls. The twitchers are very pleased though.
Seagulls screaming from your roof are better than any alarm clock money can buy, assuming you wish to be awake at dawn. Otherwise, you’ll just wish there was an open season on them.

Starmer pulls out the Death Note during a questioning, room goes silent and he just says "Continue" and hovers his pen over the page. Fuck, I'd have fun as the PM.
You. Yes you. Is that mgaebabamegbewzgha with two bs or three? He'd fucking run out of pen ink trying to right half the names of parliament.

News time. Archiving site is in the shitter at the mo.

Remember when Labour, Greens and others were shrieking about the far right making half hearted attempts to set hotels on fire?
An Iraqi sheep farmer who deliberately set fires at two Essex hotels used to house asylum seekers has been jailed.

Chelmsford Crown Court heard Rawand Abdulrahman, 37, deliberately torched his accommodation in a bid to be moved elsewhere.

Abdulrahman, who lived at both The Phoenix Hotel in North Weald Bassett and The Bell Hotel in nearby Epping, was charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life and convicted following a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court in March.

The asylum seeker was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in prison and three years on extended licence when he appeared at the same court on Friday.

Emergency services were called to blazes at The Phoenix Hotel on 28 March last year and The Bell Hotel just over a week later, on 5 April.

Investigators from Essex Police and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service concluded the fires were started deliberately.

Officers identified similarities between the two incidents and found Abdulrahman had been staying in the hotel rooms at the time of the fires.
Abdulrahman was arrested and charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life.

He denied the allegations but was convicted following a trial on 20 March.

Ch Insp Terry Fisher of Essex Police, said Abdulrahman's actions placed lives at risk.

"These fires could easily have been even more serious and had even more serious consequences," he said.

"We will investigate offences wherever and whenever they take place, regardless of who is involved.

"Thanks to our investigation, and the support from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, he has been held accountable".
Bet we won't see half the coverage on this guy

While I'm no great lover of Reform if this is true then I hope Farage pursues the legal route and wins.
Royal Mail is investigating allegations that a postal worker claimed to have “dumped” Reform UK campaign leaflets in a bin ahead of local elections on 7 May.

A post on a Facebook group for Royal Mail staff said: “My DO had reform party’s D2D today. I dumped them all in a bin. They can sack me! Idgaf!”

“DO” is an acronym for delivery office, “D2D” for door-to-door or unaddressed advertising mail, and “IDGAF” means “I don’t give a fuck”.

The message was shared to a private 30,000-member Facebook group called Royal Mail Chat. It is unknown which part of the UK it involved.

A Reform UK legal representative wrote a letter of complaint to Alistair Cochrane, the chief executive of Royal Mail, which said the screenshot was circulated on Saturday.

Royal Mail said it “plays a crucial role in elections” and “we take our responsibility very seriously and do not tolerate the deliberate non-delivery of mail”.

It added: “We are investigating this allegation and remain committed to impartial delivery for all candidates.”

The Reform leader, Nigel Farage, said on X: “It is right that @RoyalMail have launched a full investigation into this allegation.

“If found to be true, it would be very disturbing and an attack on the democratic process itself.”

Reform has demanded an “immediate and thorough internal investigation” within three days of its letter, dated Saturday, and a full written explanation in addition to any compensation measures “Royal Mail proposes to offer Reform UK for the loss and disruption caused by this incident”.
https://www.theguardian.com/busines...ail-late-deliveries-second-class-post-targets
The party is also seeking confirmation that appropriate disciplinary action “up to and including summary dismissal” has or will be taken “against any employee found to have participated in or condoned the destruction of the materials”.

It called for written assurances that future Reform campaign deliveries will be “prioritised, properly monitored, and safeguarded against any recurrence”.

The legal representative said of the Facebook post: “This admission provides clear prima facie evidence of the deliberate destruction or non-delivery of Reform UK’s door-to-door campaign materials that had been entrusted to Royal Mail.

“Such conduct constitutes a wilful breach of Royal Mail’s statutory and contractual obligations to deliver mail and literature impartially and efficiently.

“It also undermines the democratic process and Reform UK’s lawful right to engage in political campaigning.”

The Facebook group is open to Royal Mail employees and partners, as well as members of the Communication Workers Union, a trade union covering postal delivery workers.

The police are still pursuing McSweeney's phone but it turns out not only did he not report the accurate location it was lost but all the tracking data was also wiped. Ooopsie, how do these mistakes keep happening?
The Metropolitan Police is speaking to Cabinet Office officials as the force continues its investigation into Morgan McSweeney's missing phone, it is understood.

Scotland Yard officers are believed to have been in contact with civil servants to confirm details of the stolen work device of the Prime Minister's former chief of staff.

It comes amid reports that the phone's tracking data was lost when Downing Street wiped the phone after Mr McSweeney was mugged in October last year.

Mr McSweeney quit No10 in February this year as he took responsibility for advising Keir Starmer to name Peter Mandelson as Britain's ambassador to the US.

His resignation came days after MPs demanded the publication of all files related to the disgraced peer's appointment to the senior diplomatic role.

The scope of the 'humble address' motion could have included messages exchanged between Mr McSweeney and his long-time friend Lord Mandelson.

But it has since been revealed that Mr McSweeney's phone was stolen on 20 October 2025 and was not backed up, leading to concerns about the loss of correspondence.

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has suggested 'something fishy' is going on, but Sir Keir has called it 'far-fetched' to link the theft to the release of files about Lord Mandelson.
Mr McSweeney is said to have first called his office in Downing Street before calling the police when his phone was snatched out of his hand by a man on an e-bike.

According to The Telegraph, Mr McSweeney asked No 10 officials for the tracking location so he could try to retrieve the device himself.

But Downing Street's security team are said to have instead remotely shut off the device, immediately removing all of its data, so that the thief could not access it.

The newspaper reported that the phone tracking data was lost when No 10 wiped the phone.

Scotland Yard initially wrongly recorded the theft as having taken place in east London rather than Westminster.

This came after Mr McSweeney wrongly gave his location as Belgrave Street rather than Belgrave Road during the October 20 call.

This meant officers checked the wrong CCTV and concluded there were no realistic lines of inquiry to follow - a decision which has since been reviewed.

Scotland Yard said last month it was taking a fresh look at its assessment of whether there is available evidence.

MPs on the House of Commons' Foreign Affairs Committee are due to hear evidence from Mr McSweeney tomorrow about Lord Mandelson's appointment.

He has denied claims he bullied civil servants into naming Lord Mandelson as the UK's top diplomat in Washington DC.

It comes after ex-Foreign Office chief Sir Olly Robbins said there was an 'atmosphere of pressure' and 'constant chasing' from No10 about Lord Mandelson's vetting.

Downing Street has also denied that civil servants were bullied or cajoled by Mr McSweeney.

Remember how that Supreme Court ruling meant the conditions allowing for this should no longer be in place?
A transgender prisoner serving a sentence for murder has been charged with the sexual assault of a fellow inmate at a women's prison.

Alexandra Stewart, previously known as Alan Baker, allegedly attacked the woman at HMP Greenock.

Stewart - a biological male who identifies as a woman – was jailed for the murder of John Weir in 2013 and has been held in a women's unit in the prison since 2016.

Police Scotland said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal over the incident.
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) said it would be inappropriate to comment on ongoing proceedings.

Stewart – thought to be one of two trans women in the female prison estate - was jailed for life after murdering Weir, 36, by stabbing him 16 times at his home in Bonhill, West Dunbartonshire.

The 38-year-old accused another prisoner of transphobia in a court case last year. However, that case was dismissed.

Why are trans prisoners held in female jails?

The SPS uses a system of individual risk assessments which aims to keep anyone who poses a danger to women out of the female estate.

However, it does allow for circumstances where trans women can be housed in a women's prison if they are deemed not to pose an unacceptable risk.

That guidance is being challenged by the campaign group For Women Scotland, in a case being considered by judges at the Court of Session.

It follows a Supreme Court ruling on the definition of a woman in equalities law in April last year.

The judges ruled that when the term "woman" is used in the Equality Act it means a biological woman, and "sex" means biological sex.

The Scottish government said it respected the ruling but argued it did not override the upholding of protections set out in the European Convention on Human Rights.

The SPS said that inmates identifying as trans male, trans female, non-binary or gender fluid made up less than 1% of the Scottish prison population.

There were a total of 19 transgender inmates in Scotland's jails at the end of June 2025, according to the latest figures, external.

Even the Guardian is now admitting Iran is arranging for attacks across the Western world.
Iranian intelligence services and Revolutionary Guards operatives are recruiting teenagers through criminal intermediaries to launch a wave of low-level “hybrid warfare” attacks in Europe and the UK, according to investigators, security officials, analysts and police documents.

A first wave of attacks was launched in early March, 10 days after the US and Israel began strikes on Iran, and targeted Jewish community sites in Belgium, the Netherlands and US banks. A second wave has focused on the UK, with a series of arson and attempted arson attacks on synagogues, a Jewish charity and the offices of an Iranian opposition TV network in London.

On Tuesday, British police said they had arrested seven people for allegedly plotting a further firebombing, and a teenager pleaded guilty to an arson attack on a synagogue in west London on Saturday.

Analysts and security officials say that although there is no direct proof of Iran’s involvement, multiple factors strongly suggest the attacks are part of a campaign of hybrid warfare launched by Tehran to destabilise US allies and warn of them potential cost of greater involvement in the conflict, while also harming Jewish communities seen as supportive of Israel.

Julian Lanchès, of the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism in The Hague, said: “We don’t have any absolute evidence that Iran is involved or that someone else is behind [the attacks] but it seems very unlikely that a new terrorist group has simply emerged out of nowhere, and a number of factors point to Iran.”
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...e-arson-attacks-on-iranian-and-jewish-targets
The 17 attacks recorded so far in Europe all appear to have been organised in a similar way against similar targets, suggesting some kind of central command and control, and the tactics used recall many previous attacks that involved Iran.

The MI5 director general, Ken McCallum, said in October that the service had tracked more than 20 potentially lethal Iran-backed plots in the UK in 12 months.

On 18 March, two individuals were charged under the National Security Act for allegedly conducting hostile surveillance of Jewish community sites in London on behalf of an Iranian intelligence service. The charges related to alleged hostile surveillance activity in July and August 2025.

In Australia, security officials blamed a series of antisemitic attacks in 2025, including against a cafe and a synagogue, on Iran. Intelligence services in the Netherlands and Spain told counterparts in the UK and elsewhere of failed assassination attempts directed against Iranian dissidents, McCallum said.

The nature of attacks in recent weeks is familiar to European services, who have reported for several years that Iran has relied on criminal networks to recruit low-level “disposable” operatives motivated by the opportunity to earn relatively small amounts of money, who appear to have a limited understanding of the nature of their target and no knowledge of their ultimate paymaster.

A former drug dealer detained in France in 2024 after conducting surveillance on a Jewish businessman’s home in Munich said he had been recruited via Snapchat by a former cellmate to help with a “fraud case” and paid €1,000.

In Paris last month, a 17-year-old arrested on suspicion of planting a makeshift bomb in front of a branch of Bank of America told police he had been recruited via Snapchat group where he usually got commissions to deliver drugs. A “Mr Big” had said he wanted to intimidate the unfaithful girlfriend of a friend and offered between €1,000 and €1,400 to the teenager and two other recruits if they ignited a firework in front of the woman’s home and filmed the scene, according to a police statement obtained by Le Monde.

Laurent Nuñez, the French interior minister, made a “direct link” to Iran after the attempted attack. “Typically, the intelligence services of this country [Iran] operate in this way: they use proxies, a series of subcontractors, often common criminals, to carry out highly targeted actions aimed at US interests, the interests of the Jewish community, or Iranian opposition figures,” Nuñez said.

On Tuesday a 17-year-old boy pleaded guilty to arson not endangering life over an attack on Kenton united synagogue in west London. Westminster magistrates court heard that he clambered over a wall and broke a window, and then a lit object was thrown into the synagogue.

An accomplice, one of two being sought by police, filmed the attack and the footage released on social media by a group called Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia (HAYI) in a video claiming responsibility.

In an interview, the youth told police he had not meant to hurt anyone. “I have no hate towards the Jewish people of their community. I didn’t know it was a synagogue. I genuinely thought it was an empty building,” he said. He was released on bail with conditions including staying away from synagogues pending his next court hearing in June.

Since the attacks in the UK started, 23 people have been arrested and police say seven have been charged with arson-related offences.

The Metropolitan police deputy commissioner, Matt Jukes, said it had been “an extraordinary period”. He said: “We’ve sadly seen hate crime in our communities before, we’ve seen radicalisation towards terrorism … But now what we’ve got is the prospect of a foreign state actually using that as a mechanism to sow discord, discontent and to create anxiety in our communities.”

Lanchès said the profile of many of those detained in Europe and the UK suggested that few if any were “ideologically driven”. “This is odd and there is no evidence of any internal organisational structure either so this rather speaks against a genuine terrorist group being responsible.”

Investigators also point out that HAYI, the supposed organisation that has claimed the attacks, was unknown before the war against Iran, appearing for the first time in early March in a post on social media channels associated with Iran-backed Islamist militia in Iraq. A second post claimed responsibility for the bombing of a synagogue in Liège, Belgium, on 9 March.

Imagery in the claims of responsibility by HAYI closely resembles that used by the Iran-aligned Iraqi militia, experts say.

Phillip Smyth, a US-based expert in Shia militia groups and Iranian external operations, said: “This is the same strategy that was pioneering by Iran in Iraq, Bahrain and Syria and they are now using in Europe … Partly the aim is to cause confusion and analysis paralysis.”

Though there are fears of escalation if the fragile ceasefire in the Middle East breaks down, the attacks in Europe and the UK so far have been carefully calibrated to avoid casualties. The priority appears to be to sow chaos and anxiety while attracting media attention.

Smyth said: “If you generate enough coverage, you can claim you have greater capabilities than you actually do … It’s all a part of keeping it confusing.”

Tell her that crows are hypoallergenic or something…
Yeah crows like meat. They’re scavengers. They love bacon rinds or the fat from the pan cooled and left out. They will recognise you even if they’re not overtly friendly. Don’t piss the crows off, they hold a grudge through generations.
I remember an old 4chan post about a guy who befriended a flock of them and then went after some assholes who were giving him problems. They're the best of friends and the worst of foes.

I can never remember but I'm fairly sure that corvids are on that very small list of animals smart enough to be malicious.
Remember when Labour, Greens and others were shrieking about the far right making half hearted attempts to set hotels on fire?
Burning down your own home because you want to live in a different completely free place is a level of first world entitlement that even for people from the actual first world would be astonishing let alone pakis. You fled war or whatever but were willing to potentially make yourself homeless? To me that doesn't sound like the mindset of someone fleeing anything other than a job.
While I'm no great lover of Reform if this is true then I hope Farage pursues the legal route and wins.
Someone never heard about that whole 'fucking with the royal mail is treason and punishable by death' thing I guess?
However, it does allow for circumstances where trans women can be housed in a women's prison if they are deemed not to pose an unacceptable risk.
What the fuck is an 'unacceptable risk' nigger he fucking killed someone. He is a convicted murderer. His mere existence poses a risk to everyone around him. That's not someone that got done for shoplifting where you can take the risk, that's just a crime where you do not ever take a risk and you do not ever give them the benefit of the doubt ever again.
Why would iran target the banks? Why did they put banks in with synagogues and jewish houses? What did they mean by this?

Why would iran target the banks? Why did they put banks in with synagogues and jewish houses? What did they mean by this?
Ironically if you target a bank in the USA you're more likely to hit a descendant of the Ulster Scots than a Jew. The Morgan family were the exception, being from Wales. The Jews have largely wound up in private equity and investment firms.

Rape gang survivor Sammy Woodhouse has published a list of names from a 2000 ''strategy meeting'' regarding her abuse. Archiving here just in case.
On 6th June 2000, a strategy meeting was held while I was a child in Rotherham being sexually and criminally exploited.

We now know I was one of thousands, and the authorities turned a blind eye, as they did not want to be called racist or Islamophobic, given that the majority of perpetrators were Pakistani Muslim men.

As you can see from the official document, an Anti-Racism Co-ordinator from the Youth Service, called Bhupinder K. Mauku, attended my strategy meeting.

I would love to know why they were there. Were they thinking of his race or mine?

MINUTES OF THE KEY PLAYERS MEETING HELD AT ROTHERHAM INTERNATIONAL CENTRE
30 August 2001

These minutes record that a professional agreed to contact David Blunkett, who was then Home Secretary of the United Kingdom. Adele Weir worked at the Home Office and was involved in a project for a Rotherham charity supporting trafficked children.

Politicians and the Home Office have known for at least 25 years that children have been trafficked around the UK by gangs of men.

The Home Office met with me and my son 25 years ago. They still to this day ignore the scale of this issue.

Minutes of Key Players Meeting in Rotherham – Friday, 18th January 2002

They knew the names of the rapists, names of the children, the schools they targeted, the taxis, hotels, and takeaways they used, the children’s care homes they targeted, the drop off points and that they were related to a Labour politician who went on to make a non-prosecution deal that enabled him to walk free for years. They knew they had murdered people. I told the police where one of the bodies was found.

The rapist named in this document were later jailed for 35 years. His brother also received 25 years. They had no choice but to jail them, I named them all in 2013 in the media.

For over 25 years, they knew the full extent of the operation and did absolutely nothing and not one professional has ever been held to account.

ETA: responses to this. The names appear to be real/confirmed as working for the council. Lowe has promised to start naming names in Parliament and begin private prosecutions. I'll keep an eye out for any doxxing or any such behaviour that i strongly disavow

According to the Jay Inquiry (a) in 2014, Risky Business Project was the only Rotheram council service involved that recognised the child rape problem and tried to do something to fix it. It was shut down in 2011 and its responsibilities folded into the safeguarding team (a team that had consistently ignored the problem), due to bureaucratic empire-building, and maybe also because it was getting too close to uncovering who was actually involved.

edit:

Meanwhile, more Mandelson crap.

No way to raise Mandelson concerns, former senior official says

The man who was actually in charge of the FCO when Mandelson was appointed claims he was simply presented with a fait acomplis - there was no consultation or warning, he was simply told the appointment was happening and to lump it. He also confirms Starmer knew everything. Basically torpedoes Starmer's "my officials failed me!" cope.

If Lowe delivers on what he says he will do re: naming and shaming peop and bringing private prosecutions, he'll be in good stead to bolster his support hugely in those areas.

People in those towns feel completely ignored and sidelined and that the feelz of raping paki muslim scum come above and beyond everything else.

Oh and on birds, we have resident wood pigeons, breeding pair, blackbirds, goldfinches, blue tits, robins, and great tits. The robins come back every year apparently, and they are lovely to see. I like the blackbirds too, they sing so beautifully.

The estate where I work,we also have a few song thrushes and a nightingale. The nightingale is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. I go outside at night just to hear it singing. It is the most beautiful, plaintive thing I have ever heard. It makes me feel like it's singing just for me, which I know is absurd. But it really is beautiful.

I believe he is shortly, as he has hired private security due to you-know-who.
Rape Gang Inquiry update.

Our team is currently going through our draft report to ensure that all is legally sound for publication.

The plan is straightforward.

I intend to use parliamentary privilege in the chamber to name a number of the worst perpetrators/officials who we believe have escaped justice.

We will then use private prosecutions to pursue those individuals through the courts, and eventually put them in prison.

These are incredibly dangerous scumbags. It is an national network of organised crime - it is not simply disparate gangs. This is a comprehensive criminal network that is capable of the most evil acts.

I will be informing the police, parliamentary security and the Home Office beforehand of who I intend to name and why - I also now have private security for the first time in my life.

But do not underestimate the danger of these networks. It is organised crime of the very worst kind.

We started this inquiry not to just talk, but to act.

The report will be published after the elections as I want this to be a cross-party effort, and party politics should not interfere with any of our activity.

Numerous Conservative MPs have been supportive, as have the Northern Irish and even a Labour MP attending the hearings. I want this to go beyond petty party politics.

We still have a significant amount of money from the crowdfunder, and that is ready to privately prosecute.

This is where we are. This is the plan.

Thank you to everybody for your support.
The rest of Restore has been doing litter picking along the Thames and getting on with meetings from the South West to Lanarkshire. New policies include jailing those who assist asylum seekers (including 'charities' in Calais) and jailing teachers who push 'gender ideology' on children, both which will apply retrospectively. Only nine MPs supported the motion tabled by Lowe to ban foreigners from claiming benefits (One Restore Britain, one independent, three Tories and four Northern Irish).

This but is very important imo. Not good enough just to fix the problem. It will only happen again unless we root out and punish those who supported this shit the first time around.

On an unrelated topic: has anyone here ever applied to the council for a dropped kerb? I have a (probably dumb) question. Happy to DM rather than clog up the thread.

No Reform? I'd have thought it would be an easy win for them. Starting to wonder if Farage has some connection to serco or some other beneficiary of immigrant bennies, because he's gone completely flaccid over the whole thing.

Yeah, just a few months back. It's one of those daft things that's different in every council.

Of course Farage has gone quiet on illegals. Half of Reform are non white, and non British. They look out for each other. It's no longer an issue for Reform because Reform is no longer a non white protecting party.

I also think he cannot give a 'win' to Lowe, at all. Jacob RM's interview with Lowe was censored, possibly on the 'orders' of Farage after he was asked about Farage's attempts to get him arrested
Rupert’s GB News interview with Jacob Rees-Mogg…

As you all know, Rupert has been banned from GB News for many months on Farage’s instruction.

So we were pleasantly surprised when Jacob asked Rupert on his show (pre-recorded).

What follows is not Jacob’s fault…

It was agreed that the interview would go out entirely unedited. A shorter clip went on on Jacob’s show, then the ‘full’ interview would be put online. We were told. Jacob said so on his show, too...

A longer clip did go online, but it was not the full interview…

We suspected this may happen, so our team recorded his interview.

We have the full recording.

A segment was cut out, replaced by a VPN ad. The only ad in the whole video… What did the segment cover?

Jacob asking Rupert about what happened regarding Reform’s attempt to put him in prison.

Jacob raised how Rupert’s guns were seized. How his home was raided by armed police late on a Friday night as a direct result of the Reform allegations.

Rupert explained, following Jacob’s questioning, that Farage had admitted their attempt to incriminate Rupert and imprison him on false allegations was entirely because he disagreed with Rupert’s position of deporting foreign child rapists - he said so publicly at a Reform press conference. Farage said it was ‘brutal’, but it had to be done.

Rupert’s position is that foreign rapists and their accomplices should be removed - one the British people agree with.

This was all cut from the interview, despite an agreement it would go out unedited.

Rupert has spoken with Jacob about this, and the clip removal was not his decision - it is not Jacob’s fault.

But why would GB News not want their viewers to at least hear both sides of the story?

Farage, of course, is a shareholder in GB News - it is essentially his channel.

Other GB News presenters have stated publicly that they will have Rupert on their show live and unedited and then gone cold and ignored him - Alex Armstrong, and Patrick Christys as two examples. There are others too...

If GB News won’t welcome free, open and honest debate on its live shows - then honestly, what is the point of the channel?

They have blamed the elections for not having Rupert on - that is totally false and debunked by media law experts. There was a ban before any elections, and there continues to be a ban now. Of course news channels can have politicians on. To suggest otherwise is ludicrous.

Rupert is happy to go on GB News on two conditions - it is live and unedited.

The continued censorship of Restore Britain is unacceptable.

The memorial wall in Golders Green for those slain by the Iranian Regime has been targeted in a suspected arson attack, making it the... 5th? 6th? arson on a Jewish site (the memorial was set up by Jews in solidarity with Persians)

How the fuck can you be so shit at arson? That doesn't even look like the aftermath of an arson attack that just looks like it's slightly old. Leave something white like that outside for a year or two and it'd look worse than that. They really aren't sending their best. It's like all the other ones where they firebomb the pavement in front of a building or shit like that. Even just throwing a bottle at that thing would cause more damage than that even if it wasn't full of petrol.
