My prediction for this particular "consequential, pivotal event" is either a shopkeeper in a red state will ventilate a nigger engaged in armed robbery against the store or armed violence against a regular customer, or a nigger will attempt a Standard Procedure Nigger Moment™ against an innocent, pretty young white girl in public (likely on public transit) and a well-armed citizen will ventilate him prior to it doing any serious damage. The usual suspects will scream in anger and demand justice, and a tired and grumpy prosecutor will shrug and say "fuck it, legit self-defense, no crime here."
Leftist ideology is based mainly on the urge to feel special, unique, so they will move towards the fringe where they can feel even more special.
