The rift that had previously begun within the principlist movement turned into a media battle that continues to this day with the republication of a note on Tasnim News Agency.
Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, published on April 25, 2026, in the "Other Media News" section an article titled "People's Empowerment in the Streets / What Lies Behind Negotiations with the U.S.?"; a note emphasizing that negotiations with the U.S. should not be seen as the ultimate solution and that "the power of the people in the streets" can be Iran's main backing in the talks.
Part of this note stated, "...some raise demands resembling a magic bean, from lifting all sanctions to a general ceasefire across the entire resistance front..."
These two conditions, referred to as the "magic bean" in the note republished by Tasnim, were among the demands of Mojtaba Khamenei, the third leader of the Islamic Republic, for ending the war.
The note "People's Empowerment in the Streets / What Lies Behind Negotiations with the U.S.?" was republished shortly after by Mashregh website, close to the principlists. However, after protests escalated, both media outlets removed the note.
Afterwards, Rajanews accused Tasnim of indirectly preparing the media ground for a return to negotiations with the U.S. and accused the agency of distancing itself from the previous positions of the so-called "Resistance Front."
In response, Tasnim published a note titled "Points About a Magical Lie Against Tasnim," stating that the discussed article was only published in the media republishing section, was not the official stance of the agency, and was removed hours later due to misunderstandings.
Tasnim also, without directly naming Rajanews, referred to "a small group" that, according to this media, is trying to undermine Tasnim's positions and create division within the principlist movement through "psychological operations."
In another note titled "Rajai's Way or Kashmiri's Method?" addressed to Rajanews, Tasnim wrote: "Hypocrisy, political games, sowing discord, and completing the enemy's puzzle, if not Kashmiri's method, are at least not Rajai's way! The name of Martyr Rajai is linked with sincerity, piety, love of Islam, respect for the grand religious authorities, and national unity."
Another part of this note said: "If Kashmiri's method, which was assassination of individuals, is reprehensible and condemnable; character assassination is no less than physical assassination; for God said the honor of a believer is higher than even the Kaaba."
Rajanews is a website close to the Stability Front, run by Meysam Nili Ahmadabadi, a former member of the Stability Front's central council.

Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the IRGC, criticized Rajanews, a supporter of Saeed Jalili, reporting that in recent weeks "suspicious movements to undermine unity in Iran" have taken shape, serious traces of "infiltration and suspicious activities" have been seen, and "recently some have even been arrested in this regard."
This IRGC-affiliated media described the "Rajanews" site, supporter of Saeed Jalili, as an "organized and suspicious movement" that has resorted to "sowing discord" and is completing Trump's project.
Rajanews, owned by Meysam Nili, brother-in-law of Ebrahim Raisi, is currently very close to the Stability Front.
Rajanews also responded to this Tasnim article by stating it will file a complaint against this IRGC-affiliated media.
