Iran has shifted to a collective wartime leadership dominated by the IRGC and the Supreme National Security Council following the death of Ali Khamenei early in the war, according to Reuters.

While Mojtaba Khamenei remains formally at the top, sources say his role is largely symbolic, legitimizing decisions made by military leaders rather than directing policy himself.

On the ground, IRGC Commander-in-Chief Ahmad Vahidi has emerged as a key decision-maker and central figure in negotiations, including during the ceasefire.

Analysts say the main obstacle to a deal is not internal divisions in Tehran but the gap between U.S. proposals and what hardline IRGC figures are willing to accept.
So the issue isn't internatl divisions, it is that part of the government is taking a hard line and not letting the rest of the government make a deal. Got it, Jan.
Kindly elaborate on the rhetorical tactics that you are trying to gaslight us.

The IDF published footage of an extremely similar strike carried out by the same Brigade yesterday.

So without simping for Iran, how do we know that cops/basij getting shot is an actual symptom of worsening domestic stability and not the equivalent of pointing out every time a dindunuffin manages to land a bullet in a cop at home?
So first, this isn't just random patrol cops being wasted, nor traffic stop gone wrong. This is like the Rollin' 40s doing drive bys on a corner held LAPD SWAT, and is definitely not a
positive sign on law and order.
However, you hit pretty close on the nail in this case: this is in one of the more violent regions of Iran, dealing with ethnic separatists, and isn't too far out of line for a normal Tuesday. So this is hardly a "critical total break down of the states monopoly on violence", but this plus other violence shows the situation is not necessarily developing in Iran's favor.

From what I've read the Baloch insurgency used to be a pretty weak & ineffectual one,
usually managing like 3 significant attacks that actually kill Islamist security forces a year (ex. in 2020, '24, etc.). They're ordinarily more of a problem for the Pakis than Iranians, but just from what I & others have found for this thread, it seems they've been more active & gotten more kills in the past 4 months than they usually are in entire years.
This is very solid break down.
The Baloches are very weak, more of an annoyance than a real threat to state power though they have been able to get off some reasonably significant "Part and Parcel" bombings.
Agreed, and based on the reporting of their targets (hapless local cops and soft targets like local government buildings) the Baloch insurgents aren't coming close to presenting a threat to the regime. They're an annoyance and any important industrial, infrastructure, or IRGC/military seems insulated against their activities.
Its not eactly hapless local cops. They are manning check points, armed and (if they weren't arabs) would be on alert.
You can't really deny this is happening. You can certainly deny being aware of it. But this is a huge thing.
It does happen, but a lot is being made of the scale. Additionally, Chaptering out a Medical is not always forever gibs. Your case can be reviewed and numbers can be adjusted. I knew a Vietnam Vet who did 3 tours then got out, and went from 60% to 40% based on some fuckity math and was grumbling but didn't really care because he had a day job. One of the guys I knew got out with 30 that was lowered to a 10 (and he fought it and got it back to a 20). No one I knew who wasn't extremely, obviously fucked up got out with a 100.
I'm also going to point out:
unless you went to west point or did something truly amazing, the highest rank you could possibly have on a 4-year stint is E-4. Most likely if you are medicallying out its goign to be as an E-2, maybe an E-3. You are usually going to get a 30 or 40% disability. So tank that pay number, multiply by .40 and you'll see the average malingerer is getting maybe an extra grand or two a month.
this about what they'd be collecting getting a sadbrains SSI tugboat.
More needs to be done to combat it, but its also very touchy when you are grilling actual disabled vets.
lol america thinks it can win this war when iran can get missles and drones within a few nanometers of american battleships
This is an A+ quality shit post that I don't think got enough love for just how subtly well done it was. The layering is amazing.
