Feedback Technical Grievances

Okay, that should solve all of that.

All existing thumbnails: unchanged, mostly jpg.
Transparent or animated images: webp
Static images: avif
The three attachments are 60kb + 9kb + 8kb in size. They can also be cached by the frontend very aggresively.

The Kiwi Farms experience will continue to improve. The march of progress is relentless.

Anyone else having issues with loading/refreshing the site?

My normal browser (Brave) has been looping on the "DDOS retarded by Tartarus" screen for 20+ minutes, now. I tried another browser (Firefox), which initially looped the same way, but then loaded after a few minutes- So I'm using Firefox to post here, but Brave is still saying "Success!! Redirecting...", but then looping back to the "verifying you browser..." screen, over and over.

Is this coz KF's being ddos'd by trannys again? Or is there some issue on my end?

I use Firefox and am also having some loading issues. I cannot currently access chat, it says I'm connected but does not load everything. The site is behaving like it may be getting DDoS'd, but it could also be my shitty computer/connection.

The video player, which was working fine yesterday, has inexplicably become an eldritch abomination:

It is not usable, the buttons destroy the UI and don't do what they say they should. You can click on the image portion of the video to play it and pause it, but pretty much everything else is screwed. If you try to go forward or backwards, for example, the player ends up looking like this:

and becomes even less usable.

Also, thank you for turning captions off by default. It is greatly appreciated.

I cannot reproduce this. Are you being MitM attacked by a corporate router directing you to an HTTP-only warning page?
No, same home router I've had for years. It hasn't happened since that refresh, I'm spamming the .net trying to reproduce again but can't get it. (Desktop, over VPN, Brave/Edge/Opera browsers)

When trying to reproduce on Firefox it regularly takes a full minute to forward to .st domain. Accessing .st directly works fine. BUT this may be an edge case, I am intentionally running an old version of FF (136.0.3) and don't have the latest version (150.0.1) available here.

okay good, just a weird client-side hiccup probably

one of the best things about tartarus is it auto-manages certs and it's soooo nice.

So speedy too. When on the road, the potato I use for a phone right now could take half a minute to resolve KiwiFlare. Tartarus is done with in 2-4 seconds, almost as fast as my desktop. Impressive.

Btw regarding me macking a ss13 promotion sock, it actually wouldn't let me register that was not a joke (it claimed it thought my IP was a residential proxy)

I was on proton VPN and tried a few nodes, I also got someone to try mullvad for me with same results tbh
