The Yemeni coastguard earlier said the tanker MT Eureka had been hijacked and was headed towards Somalia. Sources said it was overrun by pirates in the Gulf of Aden, near the port of Qana.

It marks the second hijacking of an oil tanker in the area in a 10-day period, following the hijacking of Honor 25 by Somali pirates on April 22.

I want to say as of 2024 the average age was like 39-42, I can't remember which side was technically higher - which is significant because it implies there's enough soldiers >50 to swing the average up that much over the 20 year olds.

some russian sites occasionally publish memorials for the fallen, there's a bunch of pics of these floating around the web that are full of obituaries for fallen soldiers with birth years 2004, 2005, 2006

There's a known intersection in my town where everyone does protests, it's right next to a mostly female college campus. 10 years ago every protest was full of smoking hot college babes and their simps cheering about this or that nonsense. The past 2 years i haven't seen anybody under the age of 50 there and I swear i'm not exaggerating that. Everytime I drive past I check, like "maybe this time?" and nope. Never.

My girlfriend is still heavily involved with campus so I get dragged to all kinds of stuff. None of the students ever even allude to politics. Not graduates or undergrads, men or women, they're literally just focused on their own lives, health, staying fit, and their own friendships and relationships.

It actually makes me kind of mad when I compare it to the spergfest I had to endure back in the day but I can be happy for them at least.

Two years ago there was an article I saw posted in A&N about how people were associating woke progressive ideas with ugly people and that's when I knew it was over for them. Stacy will support trannies if it gets her the right kind of attention but as soon as she realizes that it's grouping her in with ugly people, her and her friends Ashleigh, Ashley, and Ashli will move onto something else. All that's left are the die hard trannies and the liberal boomers that want to relive their idea of what the anti-Nixon protests were like. Both demographics will be dead inside of a decade due to ACKing or diabetus.

I guess it might be due to my job but the overall crazy people and assholes have consistently become older. The advent of Discord is probably the worse thing to happen to the yonger generation. At least the SEA Niggers to me. I only see goths or weird alt-girls at conventions. Everything else is online.

The slow erosion of local culture sucks but I guess whatever. Everything must be Korean drama or Jap anime where I live. I cannot escape the demon slayer photos on cars.
 
The historic Xi China summit is the 14th and 15th of May which is a Thursday-Friday.
Mothers day weekend seems highly likely for strikes. If strikes happen on May 22nd, thats going to screw over Memorial day plans for everyone and that will be the story. Ideally Trump would cancel the Xi summit and reschedule for later in the summer and just wait until whatever Iran has left is finished off. The oil tensions are rising, I can't blame Xi for the oil sanction order today.

Since nothing is happening yet and Home Front command hasn't issued any guidance lately, I don't think anything is happening this weekend, but it seems like Iran is preparing for the next round of conflict with the US.
