The activist base super supporting him usually helps in a primary. The 2 womens votes will combine if 1 goes away and not just sit it out? 1 of the women wont throw in with him out of spite? How are the women different?

Their thought process is as simple as: "I am a Leftist because Leftism is good, so if this thing that happened is bad, it could not have been caused by Leftism because Leftism is good and the thing is bad."

They have to deny the reality that Leftism is deranged and drives its greatest adherents to violence, as well as causing other historical insanities like the Weimar Republic, Weather Underground, or Four Pests campaign
After all, these things are irrelevant to the modern Leftist, as the true appeal of Leftism to them is the enabling of unrestrained hedonism via means like excess consumption of drugs and pornography
