Mega Rad Gun Thread

IIRC There's a video of him pestering one of the women he worked with and trying to get her to fuck a black guy for him

Wouldn't surprise me. There are a lot of sick degenerate people in our society these days because we have allowed our standards to degrade and are far too tolerant of immoral behavior, and it seems the more fame and notoriety people get, the more likely they are to become total creeps.

So I posted in this topic a while back about restoring an S&W model 19 that my dad left me in pieces when he died. I never did get the side plate back on. I ended up having a local gunsmith look at it, and while he didn't have any problem with that part, I'm glad I took it in because it wasn't in safe condition. The repair was more than just parts replacement and would have been way over my head to do safely or to even know it was broken. That's probably why my dad had it apart in the first place. I'm going to take it apart and put it back together just to prove I can, then have it refinished. I may post some images once it's done if it's not a massive power level.

Ouch. I'm curious as to what the issue is too, since even if you shear lugs, you typically won't wreck the upper unless you have a case head separation type kaboom.

On the bright side, this gives you more time to stock up on gun food for it.
One thing I've noticed with mine, Which I though was ammo:
It would lock up extremely tight and require a battery (with hand, not foot) to get the stuck round out.
I assumed that was due to the double ejector bolt head though?

I might press for more detail because I probably have ~700-1000 rds in mine and it's been ok so far.

Maybe shitty headspacing? Usually not an issue with AR parts, but this is definitely an edge case platform.

I'd forgotten about Reeder and co. I went to look at their website and even though I don't like revolvers I'm damn tempted to send them my Vaquero and 29-2 for some work.

I actually love revolvers a lot. Revolvers and lever action rifles. I grew up on them and my first "big boy gun" was a Winchester 94 in .30-30 WCF. I love them just as much as I love the most modern tacticool stuff. I prefer double action/single action wheelguns over single action, and conversely I prefer SAO autos over DA/SAs, except for the HK Mark 23. Love the Mark 23. Reeder does have some packages for S&W revolvers like he does Super Blackhawks, Vaqueros, and Redhawks, and does just as nice work on them as he does the Rugers. I personally wouldn't want to send him a vintage N Frame to be customized unless it's one that has seen some real milage and no longer is in good condition. If it's looking pretty rough, like my old man's Super Blackhawk, then go for it. But one like my Model 57 where it's still in great condition? Nah, fam. Keep it original. I feel the same way about customizing vintage guns as I do vintage cars that are still cherry: it's blasphemy. Keep the customization to putting new grips or something on it, but nothing that's going to permanently change a classic. Now if it's a new gun, go for it, since they don't require all the hand fitting or finishing that's no longer possible, like S&W's old blueing process they can no longer do. It's just the way my gun 'tism works.

First shoulder holsters and now this! Why do you do this to me?!

Uh...because I'm fucking rad and have great taste in awesome things? I'm also a gun snob with strong opinions on these topics, and often preferences that go counter to what the current "meta" is. For example, I prefer quality, handmade leather OWB and shoulder holsters over Kydex appendix carry rigs. I don't like GLOCKs and will gladly take a good 1911 or BHP or quality wheelgun over some plastic Wonder Nine. I prefer 7.62x51mm over 5.56x45mm, and when it comes to 5.56x45mm rifles I prefer the AUG and Tavor X95 over the AR (though I have nothing against the AR and do have a stripped Lancer L15 lower that I'm going to build up eventually). I'm just spreading the gospel of quality taste in firearms.

Wasn't he also accused of sexual assault?
No. He just engaged in dubious ethical conduct with his female employees and made some incredibly cringe videos that where leaked by a disgruntled employee.

iirc one of the videos was of some 18 or 19 year or gunbunny family friends that worked for him. He makes a comment about wanting her "precious" in a cringe smeagle like voice very obviously referencing her pussy.

Looks like I was beat, good job boys.
