There's a lot of knockoffs of this one green DHC husky suit (I think the name is Daisuke but idr) on Ebay and they all suck and it's so funny. The second one is my favorite.

There's a lot of other designs (Telephone etc) of more popular suits? Why chose to rip off this one in particular?

What's so awful about these exactly? They look competently made. Isn't this thread about low quality or unintentionally creepy suits? Half the suits posted in this thread just look like run-of-the-mill fursuits to me.

If you know the first thing about fursuits you know those are not competently made lol.

A few things come down to personal preference. But (PL sorry) as a maker myself the flaws are absolutely uncountable. Common things seen here are bad anatomy that is inexcusable stylistically, low quality materials, bad foam work, poorly built, choppy/absent fur shaving, bad seams, ugly colors or character design (subjective), expressionless face, bad feet/handpaws, etc etc.

It's stupid to pick apart the Daisuke knockoffs piece by piece because they're Chinese knockoffs for god sake but I'll do it anyways. They're horrific because they're sloppy and low quality messes of what was a fairly decent, if standard and kinda outdated, suit. Not to mention a flat out stolen character that the companies are profiting off.

1. Giant pancake ears that are too close together and unshaven. Muzzle looks like a flaccid dick on a bucket shaped head. The mouth itself is also fucked up. No eyebrow ridges or expression in the face. Duck feet. Visible seams on head.
2. Everything about this should be self explanatory. Like literally everything. Look me in the eyes and tell me that's an aesthetically pleasing suit.
3. BAGGY ASS bodysuit. Head looks like a melon. Muzzle is better than the first one but still bad. Visible head seams. Clubbed feet.
4. Baggy bodysuit. Fucked up proportions, look how big the head is. Lopsided ears. The cheeks look like two asses on its face because of that weird seam running through it. Uneven markings. Weird upside down pawpads.

Compare the spinoffs to actual DHC work (which is more recent than Daisuke, but still)

There's a lot of difference in the quality of how it is built.

TLDR they're all furfags and in the long run all gross but being poorly made makes it even worse. Sure, the knockoffs look better than that blue beauty a few posts up, but they're still a fucking joke to anyone who actually makes this shit lol.

That's exactly what I thought was going on here. It's like when someone with a degree in art can point out why a painting is bad when everyone else who looks at it thinks it looks okay. The problem with doing that is most people who are reading this thread is the "everyone else" in this situation. If it's not so terrible that laymen can't tell that it's terrible then maybe there isn't any point in posting it here...? Why not post the really crappy ones that everyone can laugh at?

If you want ones everyone can laugh at feel free to wade through sales groups and ebay and etc etc yourself to post them. The point of posting them here is that there is a handful of fags who get what I'm talking about. Not to mention the thread is broad as "awful" doesn't necessarily restrict to only Carpet Bunny tier.

I've posted what I've found horrific and it seems that at least a few people have gotten kicks from it, so, if ya got a different idea of whats funny then nobodys stopping you from dumping it here too. Keep the ugly flowing.

the 2nd last one(the fox) isn't too bad but yeah, the ears are a bit fucked, not too difficult of a fix
Its cartoony style seems to clash with the semi realistic nature of the rest of the suit

From what I know there's a handful of makers that do dabble in animatronics, LED lighting, and basic puppetry. A good bit of them do highly realistic stuff.

It's sort of like horribly deviant fetish art. It has a whole different and viler feel when it's horribly, incompetently done, because you imagine some degraded freak like the dude in the second Human Centipede movie.

It's just as depraved when it's done well, but I don't know, if you're going to be a horrifying degenerate, you might as well do it well.

The internet would be a very different (and probably much better) place if the furry movement was just a bunch of practical effects nerds trying to oneup eachother with complex wearable animatronics instead of the terrifying shitfest shown in this thread. The smell would probably be about the same, though.
