Careercow Robert Chipman / Bob / Moviebob / "Movieblob" - Middle-Aged Consoomer, CWC with a Thesaurus, Ardent Male Feminist and Superior Futurist, the Twice-Fired, the Mario-Worshipper, publicly dismantled by Hot Dog Girl, now a diabetic

How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Jesus Christ, that movie idea is disturbing.
as @Baldur'sGait says, that is not a movie for the family or something with a genuine good lesson. It is Moviebob showcasing he is a technocrat who puts human life on a lower pedestal then any technology that allows him to make his shitty videos or tweet.
I start to think that Bob is the kind of person who hates Star Trek the NExt Generation, because the show dared to mae the Borg the enemies.
Who are the tweets for if the people on the other end are worth less than the device they're reading them on?

I guess something about wanting to defend something in light of so many people pilling up on it? I don't know. Perhaps something in their brain gets triggered, thinking that no one giving the movie a chance is reminding them too much of how in high school everyone made fun of them.
The weird thing is that Bob wasn't looking forward to it, and now he's vaguely defending the thing as an idea with promise.

I wish there was an alternate dimension where Bob's crazy-ass ideas got made just so we can laugh about it on Movie Night.

Speaking of, here's some more spergery regarding the movie, complete with unoriginality and RANDOM capitilization:

What is with Lolcows and liking/defending The Emoji Movie.

Bob's particular breed of lolcows (Dobson, Goldmark, Bob himself, etc.) is made up of contrarian faggots who must see the brilliance in shit because it makes them look smart. Bob's the kind of guy who defends shit movies for banal self-important reasons anyone with a passing knowledge of good writing can tear apart. The Emoji Movie isn't a soulless cashgrab made by the Hollywood factory process, it's a #Relevant thinkpiece on the relationship between kids and tech!

You mean with how it insults kids for being too obsessed with texting while having an ending about how great it is?

I know TJ Miller, who is apparently one of the world's most smug, pseudointellectual douchebags, talked about it as being a vehicle to "teach children progressive values," so I'm not really surprised Bob likes it

Well, the movie has a literal piece of shit on the poster.

Since he's retired the Game Overthinker moniker, he's now the Movie Overthinker:?:

I don't think it's actually possible for Bob to "over think" anything. But I may be overthinking the problem.

A major member of the SJW Progressive tribe queued it up for virtue signaling by declaring it a Feminist Movie that will program kids to be true progressive stormtroopers". So just like Gjostbusters they are all jumping on to support the absolute shitstorm of a movie. As they say "Useful Idiots".

Bob talks about The Emoji Movie, and somehow comes up with a worse idea than the movie we got.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Somehow, I'm not too surprised that Moviebob could take a shit concept for a movie and make it even more exceptional. Seriously, an older sibling dies and a younger one develops a connection with his smartphone? That's a hell of an accomplishment to take a bland, dumb kids' movie and turn it into something rather horrifying.

So instead or Wreck it Ralph they need to be ripping off Big Hero 6? That's Bob's idea? Wow!

I am still amazed by the fact that someone that made a career out of pop culture, both knows so little about it and has such shitty tastes in storytelling.

Bob strikes me as the biggest wet blanket when it comes to movies. Like I feel like if you invited him to movie night and showed him one of the (many) great films he's never seen he'll just hate it. I can't even say he's got normie tastes because at least most normies don't go on diatribes about how films need more blue collar white people getting murdered.

Bobby's spiel is no different from "reading the diary of someone who's left to discover another side of him or her" plot that has been done many times -- except what works for a diary doesn't work for a smartphone. A diary is a person's innermost thoughts, an act of creation, while a smartphone is just a more-or-less disposable device for media consumption. That's why the ideas of "smartphone being our guardian angel" and "a kid developing emotional attachment to a smartphone" are so off-putting.

A smartphone is Bob's diary though.

Got some more politisperging, including his idea of what Gerrymandering is.

If I were Sony, I'd either blow my brains out or wish I was at A24 instead of wondering why a creepy fatass like Bob cares about the Barbie movie.

Also, through a retweet, he thinks Gawker did important journalism.

Just...let that sink in.
