So I notice the amount of people who show off their VHS tapes around Youtube and still watch children's shows while re-uploading it but using a camera to point at the TV. They usually show off their collections and tend to be major spergs who sometimes go off on a disliker. They also don't have much content but the community in general can be found just about anywhere. They range from late-aged minors from 16-17 to men in their 20s with autism.

I like the video about rewinding the VHS. Yeah let's reminisce about THE WORST THING ABOUT VHS FORMAT. (Other than maybe the shitty tracking stuff with older ones.)

Being someone who actually knows quite a bit about the VHS collecting community... anyone who collects preschool tapes is autistic. No exceptions. You can tell.

If you're going to sperg out about an obsolete video format, at least have some fucking class and sperg about Betamax instead.

Or if you really want to nerd out, LaserDisc.

Selectavision all the way.

Well this guy would like to think otherwise:
Watching him smash a Barney VHS (and using a SpongeBob figure, no less) to show his maturity is like someone burning a dildo to prove he's not gay.

I though this was to be about greasy guys collecting old horror and porn ex-rentals from back when VHS tapes were unavailable to the general public.

Instead it's this faggy shit.

I feel ya. I was hoping to see some people defending VHS as a semi-viable media, instead we got these people sperging about childhood VHS tapes. There's a ton of movies that are stuck on VHS due to a variety of reasons, so that at least keeps the format viable (expect people converting them to digital kinda ruins the whole point of having VHS and DVDs.)

I'll leave these two podcast about the VHS format here for anyone interested in finding out more about the format.

But it preserves them, and that's what really matters in the long run.

Still, the guys who collect preschool video tapes are pretty lulzy. There are few people who collect VHS who are interested in preschool tapes. 80s and 90s kids' cartoons, sure. But preschool shows? The few people who do that are autistic - literally.

You know he's mature and not a baby because he is wearing a Family Guy shirt.

Remember the Barneyfag started out as a brony and only decided he hated it because some TV station aired it right after Barney. Like he didn't realize they were both children's shows or something until that happened.

The only good thing about VHS was that you could record a movie off the TV, and keep it for a long time. Back when HBO actually played movies, that was the main way my family ended up with a copy. Depending on the length of the movie, and the settings, you could fit 3 movies on one cassette.

That awkward period when DVDs were big, but torrenting hadn't picked up online made it difficult to get movies as easily.
