About "Rufen"

Rufen is a fursuit created by the owner of an overseas maker. The one in the middle is the most recent iteration.

"Rady makes changes to Rufen in order to make it harder to copy, K-Line doesn't do commissions anymore for the very same reason (everyone ordering Rufen clones or its closed species Oinu) so doing it for promotion would have been pointless."
"It doesn't matter who does it but using Rady's Oinu species (aka wingless dragons with big ears on the side, horns on top and cat nose) is forbidden. She had to do two copies against her will while working for K-Line of which one is Rubiriya."

If you wonder why you don't see eastern furries, it's because up until recently they stayed away for very good reasons. I try hard not to be weeaboo about their half of the culture but finding shit like this makes it hard.

Vodka mostly.
A mix of vodka and water can basically be a poor-man's version of drycleaning. It does wonders for body odors, sweat, and things like mildew, which can be very difficult to get out of clothing that can't be washed normally. You can spritz it on, then rub the area down with a damp rag and leave the suit hanging for a few hours.
Vodka will get rid of most problems, cleaning related or otherwise.

be careful with this though because some forms of color/fabric/paint can be dissolved by alcohol

AKA how to pretty much copypaste an animal and throw rainbows on it.

Because being born with the natural colors of that species is out of style it seems.

I've heard of and seen zoos having paintings done by various animals they have for sale, but I never thought we'd get bootleg versions that remove the novelty aspect of it done by some schmuck on the internet. Their entrepreneurial spirit is truly something to envy. That is, if you want money but can't be bothered to do something worthwhile to earn it.

Full disclosure, I know none of the furs involved in this drama; this is just something that I caught wind of this evening and thought it might be of interest to the other rubberneckers here on the Farms.

A Denver, CO fur by the name of Skritch (formerly "Yiff Skritch Murr") has allegedly gone missing. His Twitter account is under the control of his partner, who posted this:

Now again, I know nothing about these people or the situation, but the story behind his disappearance sounds insane. Also, how the fuck do you abandon a vehicle and ID on a highway and not have the police somehow involved? Going by the time stamps Skritch has been gone for four hours and this has not been reported to authorities. (I know someone needs to be gone 24 hours before a missing persons report can be filed, but you'd still at least alert the police in the event that they catch him wandering around.)

Reading these two's Twitter accounts just screams instability. Neither of them seem to understand how to function like actual adults and, if their posts are to be taken at face value, are both living out of a hotel paid for by Skritch's parents.

I've met a decent handful of eastern furries over at some of our US conventions.

I don't really know what I wanted to say with this. They're just nice to be around. I've kind of been numb about the furry scene these past few days. I've known FZSW quit the furry fandom but I wasn't aware it was because a fucking westie groped them. The whole thing with their designs being ruthlessly "donut steeled" kind of pisses me off a little.

Leaves me wondering if I should even bother with this shit.

FZSW came back as Redseedblue and quit again after more undefined harassment, so either she is making the smart move or she's a little thin-skinned. Japanese kemono artists are generally very respectable to others and polite, while western artists often have a stick up their ass and act grouchy 24/7.

Skritch was eventually found and has been taken to a mental hospital. Allegedly. But the rabbit hole goes deeper. When Skritch got his phone back he started tweeting out updates, Rubyx has apparently been arrested:

yeah i've honestly spent way too much time with the american "anime" audience and this whole entitlement and ego stick of theirs got old really fucking fast.
