I'd like to use this opportunity to remind everyone that Phil is two years older than Ben Shapiro. And yet Ben looks two decades younger than Philbert.
That may not be necessarily 100% his fault - some people do get an older look because of genetics. Of course, his lifestyle of poor eating habits, poor hygiene and constant stressing over mah bilths didn't do his appearance any favors. Ben Shapiro only has to stress about /pol/acks sending him Happy Merchant memes and telling him about how he has to be sent to the gas chamber.

I fully agree. But, genetics aside, the reason why Phil got into this situation that stresses him out so much is his fault for not making the right life decisions and refusing to fully mature into a proper adult.

"This website is dying, fast." YouTube is still great to me, but I'm not diarrheaing out kahntent trying to make a fast buck.

It's almost like he's planning on getting diabetes so that he can add to his "woe is me" list to scam his fans.

That, or he's just a fucking moron, so pick your poison.

He has the palette of a 4 year old is more like it. I mean look at his favorite foods. Two burgers, two hot dogs, two sausage 'grindrs', three bacon egg and cheese sandwiches, homemade Italian ketchup, frozen candy bars, eggs in a basket (or as he calls it eggs in a piece of bread with a hole in it)...
No chance he's ever cooked a piece of fish (not frozen breaded) or had a piece of broccoli on his plate (that wasn't accompanied by sesame chicken).

Well, to be honest, that sounds like a legitimate complaint. Of course Phil's presence in the videos adds nothing and all ad revenue should be going to the game companies but none the less, he is at least half right. Perhaps a bail-in program for youtubers who get false-flagged often enough?

That sounds like a big, real, serious complaint for people making youtube videos, and an absolute 100% non-concern who-gives-a-shit for people watching youtube videos.

Do most people uploading videos expect to make it their job? I think even in this day and age most people putting stuff on youtube are doing it going "Haha, look at THIS". I that's the case, then youtube knows exactly what they're doing. Not giving a shit about some old game sperg from the 00's, and keeping major corporations happy while people look at videos of cats falling out off grocery bags.

Phil's worldview is 100% focused on himself, and that fact causes him nothing but problems. But since his girlfriend recently left him, I'm sure the prolonged isolation he's created for himself will make him sharper and more insightful...

I think what is lost on Phil and many people on YouTube is that the process must be automated just to deal with blatant copyright violations.

The other issue is that when money is involved from advertisers, they control access to the funds. I would love to hear Phil describe a company that would want to target his tiny audience, with his specific content.

He could try to say that his videos are targeted towards people with insomnia

After DSP talked about his edited reviews and claimed he couldn't do them because it took him 5 hours to make $5, I decided to do some looking at his numbers.

His last review from the very end of May got 7K views. His other reviews got more than 5K across the board. The videos uploaded to DSPGaming during the last week of May got an average of 1K views per hour of footage. Assuming these reviews really do take him 5 hours, he probably makes more in YouTube revenue on the reviews than he does on the gameplay.

However he didn't get money from Twitch for reviews. He could have attempted to figure out some way to double dip, like making sub only streams or some garbage. But that would require effort.

Youtube is not dying it is just changing. You can argue if it is a better or worse, but this is not the time or place. Phil will claim this was unpredictable even though it was announced weeks ago and it is not the first time Youtube has made some changes. Dsp has made zero changes in 8 years and then he is shocked that after many changes from Youtube he does not get the same results he did in 2010 using his "business" model he has not changed since 2010.

All well, Vidar got his 200,000 bit badge tonight so I think Phil will be covered.

I guess this will really fuck up Phil's bullshit scam of spamming thousands of tiny videos everywhere.
Just like with having to re-monetize all of his videos, if he had less damn videos he'd be better off.

I know he has access to an analytics panel that would prove him right if he is, but I very much doubt he would decrease his income any by increasing the length of his videos. Then again, I don't know that he's ever actually claimed it would reduce his income- he seems to instead focus on "engagement" which I find ridiculous for a guy who basically plans to disable comments and ratings for his videos
