This demonetization will be the new EMERGENCY for August

This is more short sighted thinking by Dsp. The changes to Youtube only started a few weeks ago and his KoGaming channel was just hit recently or he would have bitched about it. He is thinking since it did not happen today it will never happen, but if KOG got hit which is by far his "cleanest" channel, for lack of a better word, all those DspGaming videos titled with things like "fuck this" could be slapped with the same thing at any time. It may be too early to call how these new changes will work out but if they hit one channel they would probably check out channels linked with that one, and it will take longer for automation to get through that mess of 45k videos. It may not be long until Phil is stopping streams to read off lists of playthroughs deemed advertiser unfriendly and begging viewers to watch them to try to get the 1,000 views to challenge the claim.

Holy fuck, this is just...this is appalling. His behavior in this video is absolutely fucking appalling and atrocious. As the video progresses, Phil's salt levels increase at rapid rates. Towards the end of the video is where the best bits of him flipping the fuck out are.
Phil is paranoid to the point of thinking that one single guy is stream sniping him and constantly changing his Switch name and counter-picking him. He's legitimately that paranoid. I want to point out three specific points in the video:
  • 24:46 - 25:25 - Incredibly salty Phil. Fan calls him out for being a sore loser, Phil flips his shit on the guy.
  • 27:30 - Phil giggles like an insane person and calls everyone bitches.
  • 32:15 - One of his mods feels bad for how Phil is treating his fans. Phil freaks on the mod.
This is how he treats the few fans he has left, and yet they all continue dick-riding Phil and giving him money. It literally makes no fucking sense.

And then he says he's "beaten 5 million Balrogs offline" and that he "knows the match". That "knows the match" bit is just...fuck me....it's as if he's implying that there's only one way that a match should go and that if it goes any other way then it was bullshit. And his constant outbursts of "Fuck this broken game! This game sucks!" all the while continuing to play it. He puts himself through it. It's like ever since Leanna left, he's slowly been losing his sanity.

At the risk of going full A-Log...how do you guys watch Phil shooting his mouth off as bad as he does in this video, and not want to kick him in the head? How do you guys do it? I think I'm just going to go get some sleep. I'm just...holy fuck...I can't even. Goodnight guys.

I'm legit just hoping that someone one day IRL challenges him to a "lag free"/IRL match and offers him some ridiculous amount like 10k US as well as a bunch of money to charity or some shit (the charity part would be great because then it means he'll look like the absolute asshole he is for refusing it). For all the shit he talks on his streams, its just like writing checks that his ass can't cash.
Either
-He refuses because of 'da haters' and 'da trolls'
-He refuses because its 'not enough money'
-He refuses because he can't take time out of his busy streaming / sandwich making schedule
-He refuses because V8 energy drinks aren't distributed in the area of the match
-He agrees to the match but then gets a TKO before the match from severe gout
-He agrees, talks shit and loses
-He agrees, talks shit and gets into a physical alteration with his opponent (bonus if the opponent beats his ass IRL and then dies from a incommunicable disease caught from Phil like gout)
-He agrees and Leanna shows up in the crowd causing him to be unable to concentrate and starts to get emotional
-He wins (I hope the cabinet is rigged so he loses regardless)

HBO should get on that shit with pay per view because I know I'd pay to see him having to actually interact with other humans.

Been. awhile, but I figured I'd hop on here again.

Don't know if this has been discussed before, but what do you guys think influenced Phil's decision to dedicate his teenage/20's years to fighting games, particularly Street Fighter 2?

My best guess is that he was slacking at school or frequented an arcade hall and played SF2 most likely beating some rookies thinking he was hot shit and would attend all these tournaments where he would meet John Rambo eventually.

One thing I find so absurdly hard to grasp is that for someone who apparently collects alot of video game stuff such as framed pictures and desktop figures that he'd be considered a video game geek, he sure as hell doesn't put any dedication towards getting good at them if that's his bigtime passion besides wasting money and just lazying around conning people.

Fighting games were real big back them. At their heyday. Much more popular relatively than they are now. Lot of guys did not touch gaming at all except to play fighting games in the arcade and later at home. SFII was the king of it all. Not to surprising that they'd be the obvious outlet for phil seeing as he turned his back on a promising military career or stint at an Ivy League. Fortunately for him without the modern internet, the competitor pool was more like countless isolated ponds. Out of the thousands/millions? who played SF only a handful could be bothered to actually go to tournaments. So it was something he could be somewhat 'successful' with and built his self image on. Now that online play allows the pool to be much larger, he can't take that he's been shown to be essentially around maybe just above average in his thing, the talent that makes him special and elevates him above others, and who knows how much worse it would be for him if the public took fg as seriously as they used to. Being an fgc champ is so fundamental to his ego. Thats why he's especially obnoxious in fighting games and especially on street fighter and comes up with every excuse.

You missed the option
#agrees but later tries to convince his opponent to "do dx chops instead as a goof" since he was never really taking it seriously dood.

That still makes me laugh after so many years....except now he would still expect to be paid

We were talking in the FGO IRC about dipshitphil and his cries of poverty when someone on the group came with a interesting idea

What if phil is really crying every month because he is whaling in a mobile game?

For those that dont know normally freemium games like for example star trek timelines had a way to crush the game by buying premium currency, Whaling is the act of simple dont give a shit about anything and pour shit tons of money to steam roll the game (there was a case about a loser that wasted 12k $ in GO) , we all know that he doesn't have any kind of self control.

Knowing him he would be bragging about it, but also maybe he is hiding it because his fans believe that they are actually helping him to pay his bills

Just a theory

I used to play that SuperCard game when he did, and to get the cards he got he either played 48 hours a day or 12 hours a day + hundreds of dollars each event (There was an event every week).
He used to grind in that game during stream breaks. His ranking rising coincided with his stream breaks, it was amazing.
He was so deep into it he was posting on the SuperCard forums too, of course acting like a fucking jackass. Once he stopped playing the game, he started calling everybody who was still playing it a moron.

He has dead eyes.
Dude wasted his life. I get where he's coming from.

I get wanting to kill yourself, Im just like, dude why dont you pretend to smile? After a while you look at yourself and realize youre the fucking joke and not even endless amounts of pity and people feeling kinda bad for you, thinking youre pathetic, will fill the gaping void in your life. You get attention but people don't really care all that much and it'll never make you happy so you might as well pretend and keep lying to yourself.

I read a thing that birds who are isolated over a long period of time eventually start to fixate on looking at themselves in a mirror because most animals cant recognize their own reflection and it's the only way they think there are other birds around. Kinda like taking selfies of your miserable face.

I think I saw somewhere that depression has been shown to lower your IQ. You focus on dumb shit over the big picture, you dont have fun even doing shit you used to like, you have no drive or motivation, you dont do chores, you dont bathe -- youre never fulfilled and obviously never happy.

In some ways the dude's not even human anymore. He hasnt got a soul, or a personality. He's kind of like an empty shell filled with regret and unhappiness who lashes out and people see that's what he is and stay away. You can see it in his empty, lifeless eyes.

There's a reason people live their lives the way they do and do everything they can to not end up like Phil, and part of the reason people keep him around is to show their kids an example of how not to be, when everything in your life goes wrong and is shit.

Those who can't do, teach.

Phil was literally paying for the privilege of playing more games.
For those who dont know certain supercard events give you limited matches (1 every 15 minutes). Phil was throwing out around 5 dollars a time for another 5 matches to get virtual cards.
Keep in mind top tier card packs cost around $60 for a single card and include pack exclusives of which Phil had several.

Looks like youtube is hitting DSP in it's khantent Kreator Shoah. DSP says a lot of disgusting shit on his playthrough videos and now would be a great time to spam report him. From what I understand youtube is demonetizing any khantent that might be considered "sensitive" to any audience, or something like that.

Is YouTube drying up on phil then?

Does he even need YT anymore? I guess the question is how much of the financial burden he can shift onto his paysluts.

It is another good example of DSP logic. Instead of looking through the reviews and realizing that he should watch his tongue he blatantly tweets out to his fans that this is not going to happen because money > fans. "Not worth editing" reads as "you my fans are not worth my time even when it's my job."

Then again his reviews were awful, with little information (and misinforming as well) and only good for showing how much a hypocrite he is.
His Review scores have no legs in the real world.

The thing is, everyone has to make these kind of decisions, but not everyone is so blatant about it.
"Hey Phil, want to grab some McDonalds?"
"Well, given my current level of hunger, the prospect of sitting here and getting even hungrier is worse than the inconvenience of getting up and going to McDonalds with you. So yes."

Life itself is doing a pretty good job of that already. Lost his girlfriend, lost his Machinima contract, lost his big fancy BMW, all alone in that big house of his with no friends or anything -- and the year isn't even over yet. "A boot stomping on a human face" describes Phil's life in 2017 pretty well, and I'm sure there's more shit he's going to lose between now and December; except weight of course, he's going to be packing those pounds on something fierce.

I remember he mentioned on at least two occasions that his income was something like 40% YouTube, 50% Twitch and 10% Patreon. Obviously this is bullcrap since it would mean that he pulls in 10k/month.
