To be entirely fair, this SNES Classic has the previously unreleased Star Fox 2. And what makes it special is that it's the completed version that has never seen the light of day, as opposed to the leaked incomplete version you can find on the Internet, which is a pretty neat novelty if you ask me. Hell I have a SNES and I'd get the SNES Classic just to play Star Fox 2.

I mean granted that's the only legit reason I can think of. Bob probably wants it to continue feeding his nostalgia.

Like Baldur's Gait said, Star Fox 2 is a big incentive to get it since this is the completed version. Also many games on the list has significantly shot up in price over the years (most notorious of all Earthbound which fetch over $150 for a legitimate copy). While most of the titles are available on the Wii Virtual Console, EarthBound is only on the Wii U and why would anyone pay $200 + $10 for one game if they don't want a Wii U otherwise? This is also the first time Super FX games like Star Fox and Super Mario World 2 have ever been re-released, which sweetens the deal for anyone who has yet to play SNES games. Outside of Donkey Kong Country 2 and Chrono Trigger being absent, they couldn't have put together a better selection.

Of course this is Bob were talking about and he probably doesn't have a practical reason to own it. Just "MUH NOSTALGIA!"
