This is damning evidence that indeed DSP lied earlier this week when he said it was merely a typo that his Patreon goal at the beginning of this month said the goal was only for the costume genre.
"If you pledge $5 or more, regardless of if we hit the funding goal or not, you will get to nominate and vote on games I will play during the Halloween Marathon. It's the first time ever I'm doing this, that you get to pledge $5 to nominate and vote on games even if we don't hit the goal."

Unless he is literally being paid money (and good money), he will not do ANYTHING that isn't what he is doing now - period. With the sharp decline of this month's Patreon funding total, if Vidar makes up the difference then that is going to have a dramatic impact in all the months from now on.
Even more people are going to either lessen their donation amount or pull their financial support altogether, knowing BSV will swoop in with a bag full of cash at the last minute, until he and a few other hopelessly devoted acolytes are the only ones donating to Phil's Patreon.

He already got a tonne just through on stream tips. I think it was $200 just during his prestream yesterday.

I have no idea why he's so dumb about his Halloween goal, why not turn it into a special event where you play for like 12 hours straight or something?

I can't, I just can't even. Yes a BA/BS in a business discipline a great choice for anyone. Not only is it a very versatile degree but it does teach practical business skills like accounting and finance. The problem is that a lot of students take this for granted and believe the degree alone will get them hired, it won't. The degree is just paper, you have to sell yourself and use what you actually learned. DSP never learned that which is why he leads with his degree and not with himself in this scenario.

12hrs straight? In most cases, streamers have to consult with their primary care or personal physicians before undertaking any task that requires physical activity or repetition. Even if Phil would attempt it, his health would not be able to keep up. After 8-hrs of his vaunted V-8 energy drinks, the damage done to his liver, heart and nervous system would be visible. Phil is silly and hoes himself for the biggest buyer or most exposure, but having an attack on Livestream is not a patreon goal he has in mind.


But on the topic, I do agree with BSV always closing the fiscal distance when he is short will have a negative effect: why contribute when someone else will help him. Hell, why contribute at all? BSV can pay the entire 1250 and that's that.

Someone should give him a small cheer of bits and ask if he will run a Twitch Charity stream for Hurricane Harvey Relief.

I just started my twitch charity event today for the month of September on my channel (Twitch emailed partners about it) and I really want to get a good clip of him saying "DOOD! FUCK CHARITIES OKAAAAYYY TEXAS IS FINE KAHMON". I find it ironic in 8 years he's never tried to do a charity event to give back to the communities or support people in need.

This is for those not familiar with how non-buffoons use Patreon. If TL;DR skip to the last sentence please.

Phil and his sycophants treat his Patreon unlike any other I’ve seen. It’s a sort a hybrid Kickstarter with some pledges carrying over from the last campaign (goal) and some “fans” changing their pledges based on the new goal.

With every other Patreon I’ve seen the pledges are treated as recurring support to ease the financial burden for a creator so that they can concentrate on creating. People are truly “patrons” in the dictionary meaning of the word. Other than a bit of ebb and flow as patrons come and go, the pledged amount generally rises over time if the content is engaging and well-liked--and the goals are met “naturally” without big changes from month to month.

As far as goals go, the first is often: For $xx.xx/month “I will be able to quit my job and do this full time.” Other goals are things like buy new camera equipment or do a particularly time-consuming project. This is not treated (as Phil does) as: “if you give me $400.00 more this month, I’ll buy $400 of equipment or do $400 worth of work--then set a new goal next month.” It’s more like telling your significant other “if I get that raise we’ll go on vacation.” The two events are not linked on a dollar to dollar basis. Finally with the exception of Phil, I've never seen anyone change or add to their goal levels in any significant way once they are set up. Once a goal is reached it drops off the board and on the the next one.

I love that when he was on YouTube gaming, he used to shit on Twitch all the time. Some people think the grass is greener on the otherside, but DSP spends his life convincing people he's standing on the greenest most tremendous grass.

BSV was confirmed never a handyman/electricians apprentice in his own thread. He was on welfare when he supposedly did these things confirmed by dox and a vid he made in 07'-09' and he claims he works with kids, which might also be bullshit.
