It's sad to see Jess wasting her potential being morally indignant all the time. Remember that old comic she drew, the one where the little demon thing representing her self-loathing appeared out of her and said some pretty hateful things to her? It was actually pretty touching, and did much more for trans rights than a thousand condescending SJW Tumblr screeds.

Sadly, she's in an extreme political climate where genuinely constructive criticism doesn't exist; most of the feedback she gets is either, "you are brave and super talented and the Joan of Arc of trans issues and fuck the Nazis," or "lol your comic sucks, tranny faggot," neither of which are helpful to her as an artist.

In her defense if you imitate Shmorky too long you will inevitably become a diaper fur. What stood out to me is their hair colors are complimentary so it came off as a cute little play on color theory and romance. Too bad there isn't much of a punchline.

Man I'm glad she's finally "filling in" the glasses instead of just having them look like what she did before. Back then it's like she just tacked the glasses on and they stuck out like a sore thumb once you started to see past the illusion.

I actually kind of like the new style. It looks like she's going back to her roots with a cute, non-melty style while still playing around with weird 90s-esque faces. I hope she keeps this one.
