"Rodent had been minding his own business up in a tree, sunning himself on a branch on a warm summer afternoon. He didn't hear the approach of the large female Deinonychus and her mate until they were right beneath him, but even then he didn't worry unduly: they were far enough below him that he should be safe up here. He didn't expect the plump, muscular female to perch upon the back of her mate as he struggled to hold her up, his comparably thinner frame quivering with the strain of her mass.
With the additional amount of height given from her hapless mate, though, Ixerin was able to arch her body upwards and snap her jaws around the rat's torso. She then sat back down heavily upon her mate's back, causing his eyes to bulge briefly and a brief "oomph!" of breath to escape him, momentarily winded.
The sudden tug pulled Rodent from the crook of his tree, but his lower half became wedged in the crotch of the branches as Ixerin sat. With an audible ripping noise, the poor rodent was instantly rent in two, his spine snapping loudly and his skin pulling tight and then bursting open like an overripe melon, spilling hot and glistening viscera into the warm afternoon air.
The hedonistic Deinonychus female remained utterly oblivious to the struggle of her mate below her and to the sudden intense pain of the rodent in her jaws. His shrill squeak was music to her ears, a pleasant sound that often preceded a good meal. With a smug, satisfied smile, the female threw back her head and gulped down the still-struggling upper half of the rodent, his twitches feeling oddly stimulating to her as he slid down her throat.
His lower half remained wedged in the crook of the branches, kicking feebly. The viscera hung from his open abdomen, staining the pebbles and Cayro's tail below with red. Ixerin would either share the other half with her loyal mate, or he would have to content himself with licking the blood from her muzzle after she was fully satisfied.
