What exactly is he concerned about when it comes to multiplayer games that might be interesting?

Instead he plays the same tired old games and mostly singleplayer because he can't deal with anything that is outside of his control (basically anything multiplayer).

I'd actually watch Phil playing a multiplayer game with voice enabled.

Answered your own question. Not being able to 100% control other people like he does in his North Korean forums or Twitch chat instantly rules out any such game with voice chat -- we all remember how Friday the 13th went. Phil is too much of a thin skinned bitch to deal with that, let alone deal with the mere possibility of it happening again.

He can't work well with other people, not in virtual space or real space; he only talks shit when they can't talk back. And, in an MP game like PUBG, they can hit back right at him if he tries to act like a tough guy and talk shit. This extends to teamwork too, since every MP game he's ever played (Overwatch for example) has footage showing the same thing -- him running off trying to solo it and being a complete detriment and burden to his team, then bitching and calling his team noobs when he inevitably gets rocked.

If he can't get other people to suck him off and pad his delusions of being the almighty King of Hate, he'll just avoid it. Even if it's to his detriment to not play the popular game, he'll avoid it to preserve his ego. Because he has a business degree, ohkay? *SNORT*

But on the other hand, he's willing to go to some pretty embarrassing depths just for money, so I wouldn't rule it out, imo.

Can't argue that:

I feel like the older he gets the more cringey he becomes. The older let's players in their 30s and 40s really need a side kick to buffer the fact they are playing sonic and shit. DSP by himself is just so awkward.

I doubt age plays a factor here. It's more that he has never had an interesting personality, he's too whiny and arrogant for the meager skills he has. I don't watch a lot of LPs, but I'm guessing the most engaging of streamers can very well remain popular into their 50s.

If, for example, Terry Crews had never gotten into Hollywood and did LPs instead, he'd still be a hit there, even in an advanced age, simply because he's a fun person, and he shares his enthusiasm well.

The way he interacts with his fans is what baffles me. He literally does not interact 90% of the time. He lets the chat run wild and the mods put out the fires. When he gets a cheer, sub, tip, whatever, he will read the screen with no emotion "so-and-so just did a 50 bit cheer and said..." and then go right back to playing because it's just words to him he doesn't care to think about what the message was unless its funny, offensive, is a question, or deals with him directlt. I've never seen him genuinely talk with his fans about anything fun. And I'm talking a back and forth conversation that doesn't end in him insulting the person. At this point his streams are just a live chatroom for his fans: a safespace they can come to everyday and talk with the same regulars. Oh and this sweaty guy plays games terribly too wow dood!

Phil has no motivation to treat his fans better. He treats them like shit and they still find a way to cough up thousands of dollars for Phil.

I have a friend who still watches DSP. Really nice fellow. He only just unsubscribed after logging back into YouTube for the first time in years and seeing his inbox flooded

I think people who still watch Phil have Stockholm Syndrome and passively support him

Try to encourage him to do better, as a friend, especially. Like him, we all could stand to do so, especially with DSP involved.

This photo accentuates the fact that Phil is so fat he has no facial features, try to imagine him without a goatee,he would have no chin.

I also hope Phil keeps playing USF2 on sundays, its fun watching the compilations people make of him being a scrub, I wish he would play it on figthcade, but he wont do it since people playing there are "try hards" and he only wants to have fun (while ranting about how his opponents dont know the fundamentals of the game).

that or some strange sunk cost fallacy (i've spent so much defending phil, i might as well keep going)
i think it applies to his a-logging detractors too (i've spent so much time insulting phil, i might as well keep going)

Now THAT would be an interesting paymetons incentive. Shave the facial hair. It would grow back in a few days, it takes 30 minutes tops to do, you dont leave the house so who would even notice other than 200 people on stream. Shave it off on stream and watch the bits roll in. Judging by how fast his beard reappears the goatee would be back in a week. One week's mild humiliation and heck even several detractors would likely pay (not arguing how stupid it is to fund him) to see the humiliation. If he wants to be all gucci about it, he could just do a video rather than shaving it live on stream and have a barber shave it properly. Then have a face reveal on stream of his naked pigface.
Course Phil would never do that because it requires effort and it would humiliate him briefly.

I have a difficult time believing the guy who rubbed his balls in the shower using the Axe Body Detailer and didn't seem overly concerned about accidentally livestreaming a wank session cares all that much about the humiliation involved in shaving off his goatee.
If Phil set shaving his face as a Patreon goal and the funding wasn't fully met, he would take that as the ultimate personal slap in the face. In his rationale, it would mean people were rejecting him instead of an impersonal goal such as a playthrough or a marathon.
He already realizes he does not have much of an interesting personality, which is why he promotes the games in his streams instead of how other streamers focus on people tuning in to see them while incidentally playing a game.

dont think he would find a job. and if he`s lucky and finds one he would earn ~1/6 of what he gets now.

1/6th is pushing it but he would initially earn less and have to make moderate life adjustments. However, his long term earnings would be increased at least ten fold... whereas his revenue in the next two years of what he is doing now? Jesus.... I can't even imagine.
