I was talking to some folks about his view counts earlier. I think he could stop making his Twitch channel 100% let's plays and play whatever he wants and he'd probably get the same views and "participation."

No matter how many times he says with him it is all about the games the fact is on Twitch it is all about the streamer and the game is secondary. Phil has his 500 or so people who will watch his stream and give him an absurd amount of money, but Dsp on a platform where success is based on you likability/personality is not a recipe for growth.

Ya if he took time to build his channel as a community instead of focusing on pumping and dumping games on day 1 he would be way more successful.
All he needs to do honestly is play fighting games and get a little less salty and take losses a little better and his channel would flourish. He could still do titles hes interested in on day 1 but he doesn't need to force himself to buy 10 games a month. Just do 1 4-5 hour stream session a day instead of killing his audience build up with that big break.
Throw up 20-30 minutes of choice YouTube footage each day by having his mods/viewers highlight times for him cutting down the spam and likely increasing his YouTube engagement. Add in a discord and the other shit most streamers do and it would be rather easy to make more money.
But we all know he won't do shit since he is all about the present (and lazy) and is unable to plan ahead at all.
Yesterday's Destiny 2 stream was a god example on why he is such a waste of time. Not only took his pre-stream forever, he continuesly shat on the game on any given opportunity. He was so salty that he had to buy the game for 60 dollars when there were three fanboys willing to get it for him, but he had to cash into the day 1 views (which ended up around 600, bad for such a hyped game). He bitched about Destiny 1 having no real story and character development (back then the intro was basically the player being thrown into cold water) but he constantly was talking and "joking" (i.e. calling Ghaul a Warhammer cosplayer for 50 times) over the cutscenes and he totally missed out the new approach of Bungie.
You get the God of War III style of opening where your powers are taken away and you are left weakened and wounded.
While this isn't the greatest idea, at least it was better than the first game. But Phil missed out on that completely. Instead he was singing over the epic-style music as well as on the sad violin music. Day 1 viewers are driven away by that, and as mentioned in posts above people in the stream chat called him out more often than usual. And then we had the lame comparisons. If you walk slowly through ruins, the game is automatically ripping off The Last Of Us. That's the kwality kahntent we are talking here.
Of course you can have your opinion on a game, but Phil is not giving Destiny 2 a fair chance. At least he could have said that the game runs better than Destiny 1, with no "baboon" error or disconnecting. But because Destiny 2 is not a complete revamp of the predecessor it is instantly a shitty, lazy made game for him.
Also he did a lot of inappropiate jokes when he knows that he is target for advertiser unfriendly on YouTube. You don't add fuel to fire, or you do but then don't cry about it later.
The "social interaction" was cringe-worthy too. Again he didn't interact with the stream chat outside of shoutouts when he got bits, and the squad he had for playing a mission

had more fun interacting with each other than with Phil (also though being DSP-fans they didn't act like rabid fanboys and yes men), and Phil was a bit more quiet, adding not much to the conversations. Also: he still is not a teamplayer.
He always points out how many years his legacy has lasted so far but he still isn't a gamer. He consumes a game, doesn't get into the mood and he still hasn't acquired some skills. Instead the same old commentary and bitching. Destiny 2 is sure not a perfect game, but Phil could have done a better job on commentary on it.

He had a fan willing to buy it for him and send him the digital code the morning before his stream. He was unwilling to get out of bed early enough to download and install it for $60. Just let that sink it- the man was literally unwilling to get out of bed... earlier than I don't know maybe 9 AM, depends on how long it'd take to download and install but I'm sure 3 hours would have been enough... for $60.

Doesn't even have to get out of bed could enter code on phone and start the download as well. It's insane he turned down a free code for that reason but then again I'm not surprised.

I heard him drop this dime last night too. To say to his listeners, many of them having enjoyed the summer---the time outdoors with friends and family—that “…people can’t wait for Fall when the air is cooler.” Makes him come off as someone who really doesn’t enjoy doing anything outside his four walls. Phil probably throws a fit every time he hears children playing outside his window. I really wish he would stop making his personal opinions sound like sweeping statements.

BTW, I watched some video of DSP explaining his evo shit (it was posted here a few pages back) where he explained about one of his jobs.
He worked at Wells Fargo Finance giving loans to people. He specifically pointed out how they gave huge loans, on terrible rates to people in dire straits.
A person I know worked at a bank in the credit card department, and after his first day at work all he said was "I'm never, ever getting a credit card in my life"
