Under 400 for the Dragon Ball Z beta. Since returning to Twitch he has either ran off a bunch of people, Vidar felt too much heat getting caught buying view bots, or both.

nah, I think that's giving them too much credit. Some people do long stretches not because of SOK, but simply because they want to keep the essence of Phil as "pure" as possible. There's a reason why some people dislike heavily edited TIHYDPs like Doom 3, and prefer the less edited ones like GTA SA or Black Mesa (which still have a fairly significant amount of edits btw)One of the many good things to come from the death of the SoK is their preference for only one way to do TIHYDP videos. If a TIHYDP didn't match their preference then they never featured it. So what happened is a lot of recent videos were made according to the SoK standards, which stifled creativity.
Now that the SoK is gone, I hope the creativity comes back.

Pure Phil is boring as paint drying. There's just hours of him being simply bad, which just isn't all that interesting. What's funny is when he's staggeringly, outrageously bad. This is often in things like boss fights where he just repeatedly does exactly the same stupid shit and loses exactly the same way over and over again without learning anything, then blames the game.
Or when he commits some genuinely titanic act of pure stupidity, like the GTA video where text in giant letters tells him to buy a shotgun with a flashlight attachment, his partner tells him in voice to buy a shotgun with flashlight attachment, then tells him again, then literally gives him the money to buy it, then he still fucks up and buys other shit and loses, and throws a fit.
Or the crouch-jump thing in Black Mesa, which is one of the longer ones that is still funny, because it's literally 20 minutes of him utterly failing at something a 10 year old could do, based on one of the central game mechanics.
So much of the SoK shit is literally hours long unedited bullshit of people being as unfunny as DSP's Holocaust jokes in Dead Space 2.

Didn't he play GG? remember that post from the top haters dump where he bitched about GG games?https://youtu.be/ZQ2HDZMxRA4?t=10m28s
I'm continuously amazed that he still has autists who watch him and give him money.
He cries so much while playing DBZ it goes beyond being funny bad to watch to just pure cringe. He cries that he never played Guilty Gear (made by the same devs as DBZ) where it barely plays like Guilty Gear, it plays like fucking Marvel VS Capcom which is a series he has fucking played extensively. One of the big changes is the burst mechanic which is literally one button that he could figure out if he just looked at the controls.
There's a ton of people who didn't get into this beta and meanwhile this asshole somehow lucked into it and bitches and moans the entire time.

Nah, he's been that pathetic before. One time he said his job is harder than manual labor jobs like construction cause those people actually get days off while he has to game everyday. Yeah, he really said that. Being a let's player is more difficult than roofing or doing masonry work.That's... a new level of pathetic I didn't think Phil could achieve. I'm atually impressed.

Yeah it's a mystery why he's having such problems with viewer growth and retention.
If only we knew the cause...

He also said his job is more mentally taxing then a boxer's because while a boxer fighting is physically harder Phil has to think about his job and deal with detractors all day. So Phil either thinks there is no mental game to boxing or if there is it is not as tough as dealing with mean people on the internet.Nah, he's been that pathetic before. He maybe played old school GG but as far as the newer ones nope. The only ArcSys game from recent memory he played was Persona 4 arena. Which is funny since that's the route the developers are taking with the game, you can mash certain buttons for easy combos.Didn't he play GG? remember that post from the top haters dump where he bitched about GG games?
Only way this makes any sense is if DSP finally realised a flaw in his Patreon 'logistics'. DSP regularly describes how he deals with new pledges: he PMs them on Patreon first Sunday of the month after pledges clear, then he goes through all the messages the next Sunday & sends off an email? to Onyx, his anonymous webmaster, to give all the $5+ patrons their "premium" forum upgrades.I did not see someone mentioning this before,is anyone surprised that Phil is calling the patreons that voted for mario sunshine detractors? According to him,if you give him money and vote for a game he does not want you are a detractor.
I wonder if DSP ever figured out when 2016's 'Hardcore Gaming Season' even began. He first claimed it was No Man's Sky in August, that failed, maybe DXMD in September, no, CoD & Battlefield 1, no... thanks to the YouTube views algorithm changes in the summer, all views dropped & thus DSP never felt he got to the HGS. This is part of why he ranted so much about stream attendance before he finally got convinced to go back to Twitch.Lol Hardcore Gaming Season.
At first to him it was Nov-Dec. Then is was Oct-Dec. Now he reaaaallly pushes it. He was saying the end of July I believe that it felt like the "Hardcore Gaming Season".
By 2020 it's projected the Hardcore Gaming Season will start around February and end in January.
DSP has mentioned barely playing Guilty Gear in the past, but never played any of the games or the BlazBlue series on YouTube. Closest he came was Persona 4 Arena, and he barely played that, never even went online. He may have very briefly. He hates anime fighters even though a lot of people in the FGC would agree that the Marvel VS Capcom series actually plays very close to an anime fighter.

Note there's no mention of downgrading people who didn't pledge $5+ last month. This might be what DSP is talking about, people who pledged $5 at one point, still have their Patreon 'premium forum access' as he can't be bothered pruning out old patrons and are 'abusing' their access voting in this poll they shouldn't have access to.

For anyone who missed this post on the old forums, this was before my time & the only copy I could ever find was this photo of a screen. DSP just loves coming up with crazy comparisons.
