phil banned me for telling derich if he tried to microwave his laptop yet lol. he was asking DSP for tech advice lul

I'll admit fully to poorly communicating my theory about the DSP Enterprises thing. My intent there wasnt to claim it was a shell company.

Pretty off topic but a shell company is just a company with limited to no assets. A lot of people throw around the term shell company and think it means stuff it doesn't. A company whose leadership or ownership is hard to figure out to an outsider is not a shell company if it has a reasonable amount of stuff to its name for the type of business it is.

I really think he should stick playing MvCI it's a great comparison for him. Something lazy produced to earn a quick buck but not something substantial to maintain interest for long. And don't get me started on how the preorder and his patreon are the same principle.

Maybe it's not the IRS but credit companies after him. Phil's credit seems to be notoriously shit especially with all the debt he talks about. I can buy him having bad credit because he never saves anything up and when he moved, instead of saving up for it and selling his condo, things that any sensible person would do, he does the move on credit because it was basically an impulse decision for him. He also couldn't buy the car using his credit.

He says he wasn't sued but with how he handles everything even a notice that he has to pay what he owes or he will be sued would probably cause him to think he's going under.

(getting into :autism: speculation territory but: does he think saying he doesn't own a business will somehow forgive him of his business loans?)

i think a credit company being after him is a plausible scenario. right now i'm only comfortable saying that a) some unforseen expense of unknown amount has suddenly presented itself to Phil and he is b) envisioning selling his house in a worst case scenario to cover it.

a) is probably true, but the details are unknown. it could be anything: something as dumb as having to perform a somewhat expensive upkeep job on his house (though it's unclear why he wouldn't discuss that, unless he's really clamping down on his personal life in general), something like Leanna coming after him for money, or even yes something like a credit company or the IRS coming after him for money. i'm not sure there's really much info to speculate with.

b) might be a way of hamming things up and buttering up his fans. he's obviously, visibly a miserable wreck these days, and he might just be starting to creak under the general pressure of the situation he's put himself in even if the expense demanded by a) is relatively mundane and not that bad. presenting a) as a horrible, life-changing mess of a demand on him that might require him to sell the house to cover is a way of taking the absolute worst case scenario seriously and, more importantly, presenting it to his fans.

this might be a bit of a stretch but i would not put it past him to be totally miserable in his current house and in the market to downsize. a) comes along and is a perfect excuse, whatever it is, shrouded in mystery, to present b) to his audience. this way, he gets oodles of cash from his fans so that he can keep the house, but in reality he will sock it away and eventually downsize anyway.

Of course he's miserable, his house isn't a status symbol when his full time girlfriend broke up with him and his "business" is a failure and only kept afloat because of begging for some Norwegian man's tugboat. It's a drain on his money, but he can't admit anything he did is wrong because he's never wrong. Especially when the SOK disbanded, which must mean he's right and was doing everything right. Of course he's miserable, no more SOK is one less excuse for why everything in his life is going wrong.

but he sounds legit depressed and he doesn't ask for money in the new video
That is part of his shill. Every fisherman knows that in order to get a fish hooked you first have to let the line go a bit before pulling it up.

Something tells me he likely wrote off games as a 'work' expense. Just two games a month at $60 a comes out to $1440 a year. And that's not including any controllers or equipment he might have tried to put on taxes. How many years did he call this a business, again? I think he's aware his crisis is a long burn, and any pity money won't even dent it now.

He did write off games, he has admitted to it in at least one of his rambling videos.
Now we all know that he resells the games that he buys, but does he report back the income that it generates ?

Anyhow, I have a feeling we'll know about this mystery crisis soon anyway...
It's almost certain the guy is gonna feel compelled to overwhelm his inner c̶u̶l̶t̶ circle with all the details, just so he can milk them better and appease their relentlessness.
When he does, one of them is surely going to slip and spread the word to everyone else.
If he doesn't tell anyone on the other hand, his biggest cash cows might get offended that he doesn't trust them for anything else than blindly throwing away their money, which would lead to yet another financial crisis.
Had he been smart, he'd just had shut up about everything this once, but instead, he had to do a 45 minutes video dancing around the subject, being purposely vague about everything and wasting everyone's time on his drama... yet again.
Since he's done that, all his "fans" (and detractors) want to know so badly they are all going to hate on him even more for not telling and trusting them.

He claimed he learned his lessons from the past, in which he would always tell everything that happened to him on a daily basis to the whole world, but clearly... He didn't.

EDIT : lol @M I L K word getting changed to "tard cum" automatically

In the video DSP said something like "Then you get idiots who say that what I do isn't work. WRONG. It's more than just playing games" and for those who didn't watch the video, here's the reason why he lists it as "work"
He has to play games on a schedule - Even if he's tired.
He has to play games even if he doesn't like them. (He just ragequit dishonored)
He has to play games when it gets really warm in his room.
And he has to press the record/stop record button a lot, he pressed it 50 times yesterday!
By the end of the day all the button pressing and pressing record/stop record hurts his fingers ;__;
That makes it more than playing games, it makes it "work"

Also other things he does over just playing games - He records other series, he uploads to Youtube, he has to check the uploads, he checks his twitter and his forums. So apparently there's "a lot to do"

phil would literally die in a real jahb at this point, he has been in his comfort zone for so long, he will kill himself before getting one

Thank you for letting me know. I just communicated my intent poorly and I like owning up to my mistakes when I make them

Didn't watch the stream to see bits and tips but what I have seen it does not seem Phil is getting his usual support post emergency vlog he use to get. His own forum has a thread full of actual advice that even his usual ass kissers are not trying to silence. The only person who made a snotty comment in the thread was Phil which makes this whole thing smell like bullshit. If this was really serious he would shut down anyone saying anything critical, but he is letting it slide and encouraging people to keep guessing. This is what may have happened.

Let's say the emergency was his info was part of the Equifax leak. He finds that out and like the self centered drama queen he is he automatically thinks someone will pick him out of the 100+ million people because everyone is out to get him and he is such an important public figure he would be first. So he sits and thinks up the worst case scenario and since he has nobody to talk to that can slap him out of his hysteria he makes a vlog. This vlog of course has the usual hallmarks of any begging blog, detractors, copyright strikes, nothing I could do, etc. Now he can't tell the actual problem because then someone would try to seek out his info so we are left with one of his more bizarre vlogs including Phil comparing himself to Jonah and implies he is being tested by God. After this is done he takes a sleeping pill and goes to bed. He wakes up today, probably laughs at how silly it was he got so panicked, but decides to keep this going until vacation to get those extra pity bucks.

He lost yet another patron. Now if only there was a way to remind the remaining 178 people that their auto payment is still on

They're mostly BSV/Sammy alts, of course.

Phil can't long con, paypigs aside. Stream chat is a glaring example: whenever he got stuck and someone passed the answer, he would claim his 'gamer instinct' made him figure out the solution. Whenever he actively does comedy(which takes subtlety- helpful for lying), it's either obnoxious or tired and drawn out. If Phil actually knew how to sell a bridge, he damn sure wouldn't be stressed and looking on edge.
