It's probably not helping, but it's more than likely the diabetes than the obesity. Among the numerous list of other problems it can cause, uncontrolled diabetes can also cause hair loss.

So, yes, take hamburger helpers hair loss as another sign of her severely out of control diabetes.

I feel like Rafe would sell her grandma's last morsel of food just to get a few extra views. I'm pretty sure that the only thing that made Amber forgive Rafe was the excessive boot-licking attitude (plus Amber needed something -- cat boarding -- and Rafe could provide it). To say this is a relationship of convenience in Amber Lynn's eyes is to put it mildly. To say that Rafe lives for the attention she gets on Amber's YouNow broadcast falls into the understatement category as well.

Late, but on the PCOS thing: imo (and I saw this in the Kailyn thread, too, with other disorders) it's pretty pointless to speculate whether she has PCOS anyway unless we can see that she said something like she's missed periods/is on birth control for period regulation/etc. Women with the condition do tend towards middle-heavy body shapes when they're overweight, but that's definitely not universal (you likely know a woman who has it that you would never guess--it's that common a condition).

Besides, PCOS isn't what made AL that massive; in most women, it's only responsible for an extra 20-30 lbs or so at most (meaning they would be pudgy without watching their diet but not huge). She's enormous because she does not and has never taken care of herself, even when she deluded herself into thinking she was in the past.
