Ayano: Yo, Kokona you know musume right? Her dad is a loan shark that extorts your dad.
Kokona: Really? That's awful! I hate her now!
Ayano: I'm gonna kidnap her so we can beat her up ok?
Kokona: I don't know that sounds bad...
Ayano: Nah it's cool, we're gonna criple Musume so her dad will learn a lesson and leave your dad alone, you can trust me on this one fam.
Kokona: I guess you're right... let's go!
*later*

Kokona: I changed my mind now that i realized this is very wrong!
Musume: OH shit is that Kokona's voice? You're such a slut that i completely forgot that i was drugged, kidnaped, blindfolded and chained to this chair LOL
Kokona: I do it to get money for my dad so he can pay your dad!
Musume: That's not my problem tho MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
*Kokona kills Musume*

Young guard: The killer says this girl was her accomplice and we're not doing anything?
Old guard: Remember 89?
Young: Of course i don't you moron, that's like 30 years ago.
Old: A girl was accused of murder once but in the trial she was found innocent, somehow people blamed solely the police for this and since then we never put a suspect in custody ever again for fear of being mocked again.
Young: Okay whatever then...

"I've been triggered into a FROTHING RAGE before"

:story:

Aside from all of the issues that have already brought up with the new "drive your rival to murder" concept, I'd like to point how Alex intends for this elimination method to be able to be used on any and all given rivals (hypothetically speaking of course since the chances of it actually being added to the game are pretty damn low). Even if the police can brush off Kokona saying Ayano is the mastermind behind the crime they're not gonna believe it ten times over.

More extremely flawed concepts that would provide nothing in game except for another shot of edge.

So in the new updated build the headmaster would tase Ayano because she's Ryoba's daughter.
... because if you're a person of authority and you know someone is the child of a potential criminal, the child must be a criminal too so you have every right to tase them, clearly. :autism:

"I've been triggered into a FROTHING RAGE before"

:story:

>"Im sure that if you were in Kokona's place and had the advantage, all it would take is a few words"
>"While i never killed anyone, i can say i've been triggered harder than her before

No it wouldn't. WTF is up with these kids that they think it's so simple to murder someone?

Kokona is willing to humiliate herself to help her dad, she is an extremely noble and nice person. In my mind, she would never hurt someone else, especially Musume because if she did the loan shark would kill her dad. But then Alex tells me that all it takes is for Ayano saying "You know this girl? You hate her and you want to kill her. And it's okay if you kill her." and then Kokona forgets her father and is ready to kill someone?

This is edgy as fuck writing. It doesn't make Ayano look like a "badass manipulator", it makes the rivals look inconsistent and bad people deep inside, since they can be convinced to kill someone else in a single conversation. If you think it's bad now, imagine how the fuck would this play for EVERY rival?

Driving osana to murder method said:
Ayano: Osana, i heard some girl talked shit about your hair
Osana: Really? I guess i hate her now.
Ayano: You hate her a lot don't you? Hate her enough to push her from the roof right? Let's do that lol
Osana: Wait that sounds a bit extreme...
Ayano: Relax, it will be just a prank bro, i promise there will be no consequences whatsoever
Osana: Alright lets go then!

subreddit:
"God bless Yanderedev for this masterpiece of writing! I even got chills reading this"
"Fucking haters, you clearly didn't even watch it, if you don't like it do it better!"
"I never killed someone but i can see how Osana would be driven to murder like that, she really likes her hair and i woud be very upset too if i was her."

Our second favourite youtuber Jay explores the headmaster
What got into my eye is when he tasers you he says "Mr Saikou, the deal is off". Let me guess, more edgy shit with Megamis family?

Why in the name of earth would he tase her with her just walking around his office, if someone did that on real life, they would be so Arrested. But, I forgot, this is not real life, it's rather just fetish anime land.
EDIT: Fixed some words.

This game and its developer continue to give me a headache every time someone compliments the writing. The script is annoying, stilted, and unrealistic. No one talks the way people in his game and videos do. It's like he plucked up an old grammar textbook and tried to make each sentence a perfect info dump. And still everything only leaves questions. And not the good kind! It's the 'who is this stupid' kind!

How could Kokona not know Musume's last name? This is a Japanese school, which means surnames are a standard form of address. How many people have the surname Ronshaku? It's not rocket science. Why does it only take a single conversation to turn Kokona to kidnapping and assault? Why would she trust a girl who came to her and proposed kidnapping and assault? Why would she even consider that as a viable option? Why wouldn't she try to befriend Musume and try to get her father out of debt through a favor from the spoiled daddy's girl who can cry and get anything? She doesn't KNOW Musume would say no? She outright says she doesn't know her well at all, and there's no reason for Musume to be aware of her father's clients?

As for 'can you do better?' Yes. I can. I literally in ten minutes could come up with a better script and keep the core idea mostly the same, and Kokona would have NO REASON to try to get Ayano arrested too.

Unrelated but the headmaster voice is the same voice from the old cop in the video, it's pretty obvious if you listen to one after the other. It's probably because Alex only has one volunteer capable of doing "old man voice".

If you walk inside the office he pulls a taser but if you steal his shit, plant a bug, kill a student and draw a katana he does nothing? Sounds legit. From what i can tell of the video, if Ayano is far he does nothing, if ayano inside he talks, if Ayano gets closer he pulls a tazer, if ayano gets too close it triggers an unavoidable game over.

That's ALL of it. You can't take pictures of him so it's almost like he doesn't "exist". I'm betting all that Alex did to make this guy was write4 IF/ELSE lines of code.

That writing, excellent... Of course. There are a lot of problems with the story flow:
- Osana: "I never would have expected to hear that. What am I supposed to do with this information?" This is not what a normal person would say. Only someone with no personality, a brain, principles or anything vaguely resembling a character.
- Right after this Ayano suggests to hurt Musume. You know, there is something called society and public opinion and shit, and if you hear questionable suggestions like "let's hurt someone", you just don't listen to that, you run away, if you're not downright a psychopath, who doesn't care about public opinions and consequences. Most people are egoistic and don't like being "suggested" to do something, especially not that blatantly. Ayano holds no power over Kokona, how can it be logical for Kokona to listen to Ayano the instant her conscience should tell her "No, don't do that?". But apparantly, conscience doesn't exist in Aka-Edgy high school.
- The first thing I'd do when hearing shit like "Musume isn't grateful" before I get angry is to actually check on Musume, if that's really true and not just trust some random stranger on the school top roof, just cause that random stranger knows something about my private life. In this case even frantically deny the reality, that Musume is being ungrateful (Oh, my...! the horror!) and lives off my father's money. But no, Kokona doesn't have any will at all, she just does whatever is suggested to her. Is this how he perceives Japanese to be?
- Why is Kokona never questioning Ayano for one second? Why would she think that Ayano helps her out?
- That whole arguing over who's the bigger bitch just made me chuckle. As already pointed out, if you're in a dangerous situation like Musume is, it doesn't matter how much of a bitch you are, cause people are only assholes whenever they feel safe. But, that woman is abducted, fucking kidnapped, blindfolded and tied up and she literally shrugs it off as in: "Jesus, it's Kokona? Whatever. Let's provoke the shit out of her until she beats the shit out of me."

What isn't that bad though is the phrasing in general, at least I think so. But the writing is - as in "story flow" - the real problem. Follows no logic.

To be fair, Musume pretty much considers herself above all consequences. She wouldn't even consider the fact that a 'pathetic skank' like Kokona would hurt her because daddy always protected her, directly or indirectly. It shows off how spoiled and sheltered she is to the point that she doesn't even know danger.

The writing in the beginning is absolutely awful as others have said, as is the voice acting, especially for Yandere-Chan. I was somewhat shocked that Ayano straight up goes "Let's kidnap her lmao" to Kokona, who was supposed to be a good person. Seriously why didn't she run away? If Ayano had hidden some of her plan, and only told Kokona part of it to make it seem better and then began her 'she deserves it' speech, that'd be at least a little bit more believable than what was done. Not to mention Kokona needs to trust her. Maybe if she had a high rep, it'd work, but those facial expressions and weird tones of voice should be creeping Kokona out anyway.

Apparently Kokona really, really cares about her dad, doing things she considers gross and demeaning to help him out despite her ability to exploit him even further and use him for all he has like Musume does to her own father. She chooses to do bad things for someone she loves despite her better judgement.

Kokona somewhat accidentally killing Musume in a fit of rage isn't entirely unbelievable to me, either, because she was antagonizing Kokona with no mercy, causing her to explode.

Edgy, yeah, especially coming from Alex. But Kokona accidentally murdering someone and being horrified with herself isn't quite as edgy as the protagonist of the game.

Something that stands out to me is that, if she didn't have a baseball bat in her hand, it wouldn't have ended that way. She would've beat the shit out of Musume, but it's unlikely she'd have killed her. When Kokona finally spilled over and saw red, she wanted to hurt Musume so she'd shut the hell up and wouldn't really be able to think about much else in the midst of her rage.

No way should Alex have been working on a video at this time, but I only really cringed during the rooftop scenes.

Like I said earlier, I would've found it more interesting if Kokona got away with it. Ayano has control over her then. "I could tell them you killed Musume," "I helped your father." That eliminates a rival, and puts Kokona under Ayano's thumb, opening up a number of possibilities.

This game and it's followers are a perfect example of how you should view critique and support if you are trying to improve in almost any area:

Most of his supporters are so jazzed on his initial idea they ignore his progress and abilities, or just don't care. Each "update" video is amazing and hes amazing.

He is arrogant and not willing to learn, evident in the code hes shown of. Hes viewing fan support as proof hes doing all the right things. In reality, hes barely made any real progress, even if he was working alone for most of that time.

You need to value the opinions of others who are in your field and more experienced, and know which critique to take and which to ignore. When someone tells you that your work is amazing, step back and analyze why the are saying that. This is something I learned after college when entering the work force. From his "development" history I doubt he will ever learn this.
