Oh man, I see this picture a couple of time. I want to ignore it but it's hard. I have issues character design esp on Daphne and Fred. Iconic character are hard to redesign because you literally catering to both old and new fans.

But man, if you told me that was Fred. I would not believe you at ALL. It like I post my oc of color with Fred's outfit color and his name. Oh wait, this picture prove it.
Daphne, the shape of Daphne face is all wrong. Daphne is suppose the attractive one, not saying Velma is not attractive, Velma is more cutie. Back to the point, Daphne was character that change over the years (depends who writing her). Not only she is attractive, she is kind, intelligent (different way), and have her own goals. But no, she way too attractive, we need to change that

Bonus I have screenshot of the artist in twitter. it like artist, never heard of if you mess around iconic characters design, you going get criticize not matter what.

diversity in character design isn't a problem, times changes and that's fine, but when you get wrong what the original characters tried to convey it probably means you yourself are not comfortable or natural with diversity and are restricted by it.
Velma should have shorter hair and much less curves, and Fred should have been a black college sports guy with confidence and a will smith 90s haircut, cause that's what a true leader looks like.
Shaggy I don't even know. His haircut was a mockery of hippies, and his shoulders formed a V/reverse V to make it obvious that he retracted his head in his shoulders for cowardice. With those elements taken out, who the hell is he
Daphne is just hilarious. I love it when women cartoonists make it obvious how self conscious they are and how much they hate good looking women. Make her a hot latina if you really want diversity

Yes a cyborg with no breast fat what so ever is wearing these things, I thought this was a parody until I checked out the person's tumblr.

I never thought of Grievous as a humankin.

"I'm not a Kaleesh. I identify as an Alderanian human!"

"Aren't you one of the biggest mass-murderers in the galaxy?"

"I'm also a Transpacifist!"

Maybe it was because I did not pay attention at the time, but I swear I did not even think this was a jotakak blog, ie just look at kakyoin's hair in most of the drawings has an afro or long type.

Just in case any of you guys still had faith in humanity, the person who drew the above art works for Marvel comics. As an artist.

Let's skip the obvious "Doreen looks like a duck-facing six year old with the downs" comment, since it's been made a hundred times, and look at something that's actually worse. What the fuck did she do to Hulkling's face!? He's making an expression like he just got kicked in the balls. And why does songbird look like Keith Richards? Why can't Erica Henderson draw a normal fucking face? Did she spent all of art school picking her nose and staring at the wall!?

I'm really digging her group of beer-commercial-diverse friends. They get to have an actual background (a coffee shop that apparently allows cats), but the fucking superheros have to float in a void because Henderson couldn't be assed to do the thing she was payed to do and draw the rest of the picture.

For those of you unfamiliar with the characters being depicted, here's a nice side-by-side comparison.

This is why god doesn't talk to us.

I have lost faith in Marvel years ago. Between their misguided SJW pandering or reboots and the incompetency of the people working there, I don't get how they can still be popular.

Friendly reminder that Marvel fired this artist
20170405_n_nerdistnews_squirrelgirl_1x1.jpg

And hired this artist for stingy jew points

Why fire her? The first pic was adorably well drawn and depicted. The second pic depicts a a more sour personality (pretty accurate for SJWs). Plus, the drawing is straight off of Deviantcrap or something. Did the artist have "alt-right thoughts"?

At least the writing in The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is pretty good.

At least last I read it. Ryan North is pretty on point. There are some SocJus friendly nods but it manages to be goofy enough to work, which the art style manages to compliment.

It's no Howard the Duck.
