i just noticed these kind of artists always have the same things in their 'wont draw' lists; nsfw (because they dont know enough about anatomy to make it work) mecha (because they dont have enough skill to make it work) and offensive things (which could be anything)

I mean, I can kinda understand mechas in the sense that some people want to see a huge amount of mechanical details, and my god is that not only hard, but tedious at times.

NSFW is usually a spectrum (much as I hate that description). Some artists don't want to draw porn at all (primarily because they either don't want their name associated with it if they're trying to break into professional work, or because of some of the clientele it attracts), some are okay with drawing vanilla but not kink, others will draw kink ranging from mild/normie to full blown deviancy.

Offensive shit is just absolutely being a special snowflake, though. Hate art has existed for years, from dA sparklecharacter gore feuds to politically-motivated shit. Even if it was only a recent thing, it's still so fucking rare you're unlikely to be commissioned for it at all.

Well, I can't speak for Tumblr artists, but there are some people who run separate commission lines under different aliases. On social media associated with their actual name, they only draw things that won't offend a prospective employer. On anonymous accounts, they draw porn/kinks/whatever to pay the bills. That could be part of the reason a lot of non-Tumblr commission flyers have rules against explicit sexual material.

I have lost faith in Marvel years ago. Between their misguided stingy jew pandering or reboots and the incompetency of the people working there, I don't get how they can still be popular.

Just thinking about the plagiarism Greg Land gets away with brings my blood to a boil. I hate him more than Rob Liefeld and Erica Henderson combined. At least Liefeld and Henderson draw their own shit! The only place this hack deserves to work is McDonald's.

Why fire her? The first pic was adorably well drawn and depicted. The second pic depicts a a more sour personality (pretty accurate for SJWs). Plus, the drawing is straight off of Deviantcrap or something. Did the artist have "alt-right thoughts"?

My guess would be that the original artist drew Doreen "too sexy" or "not realistic enough", and Tumblr sperged out.

At least the writing in The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is pretty good.

At least last I read it. Ryan North is pretty on point. There are some SocJus friendly nods but it manages to be goofy enough to work, which the art style manages to compliment.

I've read it. Ryan North isn't funny, and he thinks that his readers are a bunch of retards who need the jokes explained to them in a fuckload of footnotes. The only reason anybody even knows who he is or gives a shit about him is because he's friends with Andrew Hussie. Granted, Andrew isn't a great story writer, but at least he knows how to write a fucking joke.

If I recall correctly, North went on a Twitter tirade a while back about how triggered he was by RedLetterMedia on "behalf of women".

What pisses me off more about this is that the second artist that was used instead draws everyone with this weird cleft pallet and doesn't even fix it. It's like they think it's some kind of stylistic choice to draw everyone with some sort of deformity which it's not!
The first one looks like the artist actually knew what they were doing and actually breaths some life into her character. The latter just makes her look like some dead eyed doodle hastily drawn to make a quick buck.

I love the concept of squirrel girl actually and that is saying something cause I don't usually read Marvel. But what they are doing to her now is a real shame. Just give the poor girl a decent artist and stop pandering already.

They all use the same program to draw, same techniques, same style. Honestly looking at jew art, the fact they all use the same brushes makes it look all the same. Like it was just pasted and copied.
The thing is paint tool sai is a TOOL, yet they just use it to become lazy, not advance their art in anyway.

That artist is pretty amazing. I don't think just drawing a thing is worth getting attacked or doxed, but you have to admit it's pretty fucking autistic for someone with his abilities to be wasting them on drawing half-assed porn of a kid's cartoon.
