As much as I love this show... Yeah. Making fun of idiots who obsess over stuff like this is always more fun, in comparison.

And sarcasm aside, going on a tirade about how the show is a "preachy neoliberal whinefest" is pretty fucking autistic. As plenty of other people have pointed out, it's just a fucking cartoon. It's stupid to apply some sort of pretentious or political deeper meaning to it of any kind- political, philosophical, whatever. Odds are, people won't give a shit either way about the show in five years.

Didn't Rick had sex with a lot of people during that episode where he meets his sexfriend parasite who took over a world? Not sure the people controlled could consent to that.

It's because people now are incapable of liking something unless it somehow aligns with their politics. And if it doesn't, they'll either sperg out about how "evil" it is or do mental gymnastics to make it align with their beliefs.
