Fun fact, melting servers was a major plot point in Summer Wars and believe it or not, it was actually more retarded. It's probably where he got the idea.

Even if he could do that and took the opportunity, the servers wouldn't catch fire, they'd shut off to prevent damage from overheating because that's a feature that all motherboards have.
