Careercow Dan Harmon - Creator of Community, co-creator of Rick and Morty, and barely functional alcoholic

You're doing god's work, Cosmos <3

I remember when Community was popular and how turbulent its production was with numerous cast shakeups and behind-the-scenes conflicts coming to light, but Harmon always playing the sympathy card, especially after NBC shitcanned him.

I guess he's really good at tricking naïve fans into thinking he's the victim, but it's a good thing the internet is forever, because the longer he remains in the public eye, the more clear it becomes that all these conflicts really are due to his own doing.

I can't wait to hear how he rationalises all this Rick and Morty drama. We've already gotten some delicious incidents, like him chimping out on a McDonalds employee publicly on Twitter. How far can he fall?

Maybe, but unfortunately he (Justin Roland) still has some skeletons in his closet to be weary of, in regards to this show and the fanbase. However, that's another story, so I'll stop.

There was a Harmontown episode where he talked about being molested by his cousin as a child and how he’s been suicidal for years. He's also talked about it a few times on his own podcast called Grandma's Virginity. Hope these entitled fanboys aren't making him feel like shit.

Dan Harmon gets divorced and becomes a raging alcoholic.

Justin Roiland gets molested and almost always refrains from sperging.

Really fires up those neurons.

A growing awful fanbase, riots over a sauce demand they started, and now one of the creators is being exposed as douchebag drunkard?
You know when they stated that "This would be the darkest year of our lives" back at the first episode of season 3, I don't think all of this was what they had in mind :story:

This whole thing was a coordinated viral marketing stunt, and this is Harmon doing something he's contractually allowed to do and generating more attention and controversy by saying it's totes unauthorized guys. He gets to seem like he's fighting the man and not taking any money for it, and McD's doesn't want viral marketing efforts to be known as viral marketing. This whole feud is about as real as Taylor and Kanye.

Tl;dr- Dan Harmon is an alcoholic mess who consistently chimps out on Twitter and blocks every person who tries to breach his echo chamber. The #HarmonBlock2017 hashtag is full of examples of such incidents. He also has a nasty reputation in the entertainment biz as being impossible to work with.
Its kind of funny that Harmon blocked Ethan Klein considering Roiland and Klein hung out so Roiland could shill his Rick and Morty VR game. How is it that one creative partner can seem like such a dick and the other seems pretty chill? For that matter what does Harmon even do on his show? I don't think Harmon even does a single character's voice-overs and they probably already hire a legion of writers.

Yeah...the problem is Harmon is too dumb to realize it's not a good idea to insult the people selling your meme sauce.

Interview for Rolling Stone, which showcases another telling moment about his personality:

http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/q-a-communitys-dan-harmon-takes-no-prisoners-20140310

"I'm glad I was programmed with a desperate fear of pretense and entitlement. Every time I come close to saying something that sounds like I think I'm better than other people, a bell goes off in my head and I make sure people know that I'm fat, dumb, racist and alcoholic"

"I think probably the worst thing about my personality is that there must have been some huge dopamine or serotonin spike when I shamed my grade school principal, or the first time I told my Mom she couldn't make me clean my room. Those experiences were too emotionally formative for me. At the age of 41, I still think I'm addicted to the rush of proving to people that they can't control me. If you could turn that off about my personality, I could be President in a couple of weeks, because I think the only thing people don't like about me is that they're like, When are you gonna learn that you have things that other people spend their life dreaming about? When are you going to stop biting the hand that feeds you?"

And now he is biting the hands of his own fanbase to give him that rush to proving to them that they can't control him. If he sees his audience as a reflection of his self-insert, than there's a whole tangle of psychology that needs to be looked into.

I'm 89% sure he was drunk before they started the show and 100% by the end.

I am not watching over an hour of this. Where is the good part? Why does this video keep getting posted?

Oh geez rick, I wish I knew some of this stuff before I started making that video.
(Should I post it on this thread too? Half of it is just me talking shit about Harmon. I feel uncomfortable posting my own garbage videos anywhere, but I only do it on a couple of troll sites where I thing people might enjoy them)

Also, I am now taking bets on how long before Harmon gets swept up in all the recent feminist dramas with his own rape accusation.
I got 10$ on a woman accusing him of sexually assaulting her within the next 3 month. Any takers?
