I've always wanted to mention this one specific thing I've noticed about Be More Chill fanart and I guess now's the best time. In the musical itself Michael's patches are generic words, shapes and colors that look like this:

But most people on Tumblr draw them like this:

It just seems incredibly lazy and uninspired to me that these people can't communicate that they think he's gay or what race he is without literally plastering pride flags all over his design, but I guess lazy and uninspired is what Tumblr is all about.

Yes, the tumblr stevionne character is ugly as fuck, but that normal fanart isn't exactly good either. Her other arm straight up disappears, her hands are ~strategically~ cropped off and she has no pelvis bone and a broken spine. At least uglionne's anatomy is consistent with the cartoony look but oh boy prettionne's body is mangled, amputation of her other arm being least of her problems.

edit: Idk what all these raitings mean because I made an account just for this but autism has most votes and I guess that's correct because I have lurked this thread for long time but as a realismfag this is the first time I really got triggered like fake realism really gets my art sperging going ugly cartoon stuff I can handle. You have no idea how much this rustles my jimmies that contrapposto is so fucked up I am ready to get my autism weaponized.

You got rated badly not because you were necessarily wrong, but because you missed the point of the comparison.

The point Windelsiya was trying to make wasn't that the "good" artwork was perfect; it was that the good artwork represents the antithesis of the SJW drawing. It's detailed, well-colored, and it depicts Stevonnie in an aesthetically pleasing and true-to-the-design way, unlike the other drawing. Anatomically correct or not, the top drawing obviously had way more effort and passion put into it, whereas the second clearly did not.

I felt like second (he looks butch lesbian) and third on top row and third on the bottom row is one artist with three different names.

Same goes to last portrait in both rows and the second one felt like one artist while the first one on the top row is improvement

The only one that looks a bit different is the first one in bottom although the head shape looks similar to the second on the top.

Literally, you can rearrange these drawing into a row looks like timeline of "improvement'.
