Sonichu most pointless character in sonichu

I'm glad this thread is open, since it relates to a question I have for everybody here and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Okay here goes: The most pointless character in Sonichu, right now? Well thats easy: Its Sonichu himself.

I mean how special is Sonichu still, really?

The minute Chris started to change in to Sonichu using his medallion or some shit, Sonichu seized to be special. There really was no reason left at all for him to exist. In that regard Chris failed to see the point in the Pokémon side of his character. What makes Ash Ketchum special are his Pokémon, him training them, and his friends. But I digress, back to the point. Now Chris has all these mary-sue type powers, and other versions of himself and he's a pony too. Which is terribly confusing and frustrating for everybody, or well lets face it, people love to complain about it. Which is fine, really. Thats what the Sonichu comic is there for. My main point being: With all of Chris his Godly Mary-Sue type powers, how special is Sonichu still?

And then theres of course all the other Sonichu's, but even asides from that.

I would love to hear other peoples input on this.

Sonichu is involved in some of the best moments in the comic, though, like when he doesn't realise that pornographic drawings aren't photographs.

If anything, it adds to the humour that the title character is actually a sidekick to Chris.

Oh it does. I suppose this is more like Scooby Doo if it's the human team you're supposed to pay attention to and not the dog the show's named after.

Peanut brained-tier: He's the only Sonichu Pokémon to transform by coming into contact with another life form and spawning a whole new line of Pokemon (if not the first).

Big brained-tier: He's the only character in Sonichu that is actually a character and not a: Stereotype, Rip-Off, Fantasy, or Mary-Sue. Sonichu is the comic relief in the entire series, arguably entertaining the audience during stories that Chris expects the audience to take super seriously with his antics.

To add on to what Pointless Pedant said, there are many other entertaining moments involving Sonichu himself. Him releasing Count Graduon by setting forth the Anchuent Prophecy and essentially fucking up the lives of everyone.

His entire plan to stop 4 cent garbage hinges on meeting Jason Kendrick Howell, a man who enslaves women and keeps them on a leash, to stop posting pornography of him and his gf by asking nicely and when that fails to simply leave.

When being told he had to choose between his loyalty to Chris as Mayor and Rosechu's life, he seems to want to pick keeping Chris as Mayor over his wife.

In more recent comics, him developing a fat fetish for Rosechu when she gains weight from her injury and encouraging her to eat despite it having likely negative effects on her health.

I could go on, but Sonichu is actually an amusing character. It's everyone else in the comic that is boring and stale. Think of Date-Ed for example, look how fucking boring that episode was. No Sonichu in that one.
 
I think it would be more of a challenge to name the characters who aren't pointless. Half the time the Chaotic Combo are around, they only serve to react to whatever Chris is doing.
 
In order to answer this lets weed a few characters out.

First, any villian. Their point is to be heroically beaten, which the acomplish so even forgettable baddies such as Beel and ScotPalazzo who don't really do much serve their point in the narrative.

Next, we have to get rid of anyone who has participated in a fight scene. Bionic, Zapina and even Darkbind have all helped out at some point. So while they may all be completely redundant, they aren't pointless.

Next we get rid of "refugee" characters like Blazebob, Megagi and Chloe. Chris's belief in a Roger Rabbit styled parallel dimension means that he believes including them at some point is like housing a refugee in CWCville. Which is completely idiotic but not pointless.

Finally get rid of any character only present to be a gag. That is their point.

What you have left are a few of the most worthless names in the story, but my vote for most pointless goes to Ivy.

Ivy is set up throughout the beggining of issue 9 to be the new big love interest, destined by God himself to be the end of Chris's love quest. The two of them never meet in story. Ivy isn't just pointless, she's a plot hole. If you edited issue 9 and all you did was use the erase tool in MSpaint to remove Ivy and all of her dialogue the story would make more sense then it does now, and I don't believe there is a single other character that's true for.

Tl;dr: Ivy, bitch is a fucking ghost.
