That ain't gonna happen as shown before, his fans are masochists. The only thing that fuck Phil up is another live fapping incident at a Twitchcon :optimistic: Twitch admins are sweeping his actions under the rug regarding begging for tips and cheers.
As long as he keeps bringing them more money than his troubles are worth, Twitch won't boot him. I've said this once: the only way Twitch will get rid of him is if keeping him has a bad PR cost attached to it.

The fact that he cares about his YouTube channel is pretty funny. He could flip burgers 40 hours a week in WA and make more money than he does off that channel.
if its true what he said then no. he would have to flip burgers for ~100h a week. he makes between 3-4k$ on youtube or atleast he made that much a few months ago according to him.

It depends. He has to very flagrantly break their rules. Low Tier God was getting a similar number of subs and donations and they still banned him.

That said, I think there's a bigger chance of him insulting his Pay Pigs one time too many and his subs/donations dry up.

Years ago when disccuing his view based contract he wasn't making like $1 and change CPM (I don't have the screenshot of an email he'd sent but believe I found it in this thread the other day), and when he moved to an ad based contract he started making less. After the adpocolypse and mass demonetization I don't believe for a moment he makes much more than $1 CPM now. Minimum wage in his state is also $2500 a month so even if he was making $2 CPM magically he'd only have to have a barely above minimum wage job.

DSP isn't going to fall overnight. Even with some 'big event' that puts him at real risk, its going to be a slow burn down to the point where what hes doing on youtube/twitch/patreon won't be enough.

He will continue to lose things, he will continue to apply band aid fixes while not really doing anything to provide a suitable means to support himself and keep up the sympathy role from his cult. But the man is approaching his mid 30's, he's already admitted he knows this isn't going to last, I know this because I asked him. He says he 'wants to find other avenues", but its clear he's doing nothing to prevent or prepare for the day where this dries up.

But, it's going to be a slow grind to get him to that point, it's been clear ever since I have at least been following him, hell, you can see it everyday with his usual begging. Like most have said he's running out of things to blame, as he's crying about the same things every single day now.

Though, I will still be watching him slowly dig his own grave, maybe one day he might realize it's him, but I won't hold my breath over that.

Its always been a slow burn and it always will be. If you check graphs and shit, yeah there are sometimes dips but there's never any big dips, its always a gradual decline. Because what it essentially is, is fans find someone better - someone who treats them nice, that they have to spend less money on to talk to, better community etc. or after the 10th time of being burned they're like "enough is enough."

DSP says shit like "Have you ever seen a mass exodus? No. Because my fans know I'm a human and I make mistakes!" No, no fan exodus' after he does something shitty, but a drop off of ten or so people. And for each shitty moment, ten fans go "That was shitty, I'm done" then a video is uploaded of the moment, another ten leave, then Phil constantly brings it up as drama and digs a hole, then another ten leave, then the next shitty moment happens etc. Its just a gradual drop off of a small amount of people done with his shit each time.

I've also noticed that ever since DSP stopped Japanese games that he's never been able to hit the patreon goal. Everyone said it would be a bad decision and it has been. He's lost that audience. They were a dedicated audience willing to pay to see their weeb games played. But DSP has a cycle where he tries to reap more money than what he's getting, only for it to screw him over and he ends up with less money than he was getting. He tries it every time and it happens every time. This time it was that not only did he want the patreon money but he wanted the tip/bit money and view money that he could get from more popular games and Japanese games don't get as many views. So in trying to exploit that by banning Japanese games, he's lost the fans of the Japanese games who were his patrons simply so he could play those games, which has left him with only $800 a month over $1250 which is a significant drop, and his goals constantly not getting hit, losing out on the tip/bit money from that.

You're not taking into account hours worked per month. Standard jobs are 8 hours a day plus travel.
Someone should do a DSP hourly rate vs Minimum wage.

Well I googled. McDonalds full time, just a fast food worker. It's around 30 hours per week. Not counting travel. They get 7.35 an hour where I am. So that's 220 a week. Someone can probably link that with Eddyb and what DSP gets.

Which reminds me, what was the event that made his Patreon plunge below $900? I remember that the first plunge was caused by his Persona 3 ragequit, but he barely recovered to stay over $1150.

The banning of Japanese or long form games from patrons choice. He had a lot of weeb patrons and they peaced out since they're not getting what they're paying for.

The August goal for a Halloween horror game marathon + costume was what did it for this stretch. Originally it was for the costume, then he backpedaled and said he wouldn't do the marathon either if the goal wasn't hit. That's the first month he stopped hitting it. He's been approximately $250 under the goal for each month since (except for a September when someone just pledged the $230 needed at the last minute.)

Boy do I hope he plays need for speed.

Phil is easily worst at driving games out of everything he plays.

Forza Horizon 3 was a gold mine.

"It's official: people want me behind the wheel again! Looks like the Need For Speed Payback playthrough will begin this coming Monday!"

Nice. He is really bad with racing games, im kinda surprised he is gonna play it.

He knows it brings in good views so he's hyped for the money. Honestly if you voted for a game he loves but is low viewed, he'd whine.

I heard that Payback has an even worse lootbox system. Worse than Shadow of War.

"Need for Speed: Payback is the first full-price game to be irredeemably ruined by loot boxes. It probably won't be the last."
"The worst loot box implementation yet"
"Loot boxes completely ruined Need for Speed's car performance customization in the process"
"Don't want to buy loot boxes? Get ready to grind old races for hours every time you obtain a new car."

Are you ready for some lootbox bitching/defending/shenenigans ?
