I hate, HATE the “Joan of Arc was a trans man” bullshit with a passion. She dressed up as a guy not for being trans, but to avert being raped (and iirc the Church allowed women to do that if it was for self protection) and to show the men under her command that she was their fellow soldier and their equal. Claiming that she was a trans dude is misogynistic as fuck because it suggests that us women are all ~weak little princesses who must be meek and girly~, so any woman who doesn’t fit into the "perfectly feminine girl" mold must be a trans man.

If a married woman was raped, both she and her attacker were thrown into the river to drown (because it was technically still adultery after all, and if it was legitimate rape, why didn't the victim cry out loud enough to fetch other males to stop it?).
Also, the code paid you well if you were a slave catcher. Like just about everywhere else, Mesopotamia was big on slavery.
But aside from being a married rape victim or being a slave, pretty much everyone had it better thousands of years ago than any university-attending SJW does now.

They're just playing dumb. People know they don't perform surgery when they're children, but brainwashing your kid to live as the opposite sex and putting them on blockers/cross sex hormones is still unethical and it stills sets up these kids to have surgery as soon as they legally can. Then plot twist, it can't even be done like in Jazz Jennings' case. Somehow ''trans care'' is supposed to be sooo science-based and safe and effective yet no one saw that coming.
