I have to admit that I enjoyed the whole Nostalgia Critic commercial episodes and it was basically the only thing he did that made me watch his videos. But holy shit, he had to put the annoying skit about Michael Bay in the latest one. That shit ain't funny and it wasn't funny when they did it in Pearl Harbor. Doug Walker is so bad at writing skits.

He's also shit at research.

That Muppets ad? It cost £25 mil to get the Muppets there. The year before? They paid £17 million for Sylvester Stallone. Why? Because the local (Bolton) famous comedian, Peter Kay (who's in this year's Christmas ad) cost more.

He's also shit at noticing things in movies/shows because there's so many times where he'll leave an important detail out of a movie or a show.

That's something I noticed pretty early on as well.

In his Quest for Camelot video, I remember him complaining about how one of the bad guy's henchmen helped free the main character when it was established early on that he was one of her chickens.

Oh yes. I remember that because way back in the day I watched his commentary video on Quest For Camelot and he pointed that out that he left out the chicken henchman thing. So he's aware.

He's such a fucking Frozen fangirl, it's unbelievable. Esp. considering how he hates commercial and cliched movies in general.

He doesn't realize people are tired of Disney whoring Frozen everywhere and shoving Elsa down everyone's throats in every single movie that isn't even about Frozen. The Prince and the Pauper comparison he makes is terrible.

He said Frozen was better than Tangled. Unforgivable.

It sucks, I used to genuinely like Doug Walker but those damn skits ruin him for me. I almost feel bad trashing him because I did watch him for years and he seemed nice to me back then.

When an animation based on a shit movie lasts 20 minutes and is placed in front of a movie I paid good money to actually fucking see, yes it's worth the bloody hate.

I think Doug knows where the money is and is going to chase it as he is going to need it for who wants to watch a 50+ year old man sperg about mostly family movies?

I mean seriously, wouldn't it be better if it just debuted on TV instead? Pixar really didn't need the shilling.
It originally was supposed to air on abc family as a holiday special.

Doug's opinion on it is entirely his own as the short has been completely removed from Mexican showings after the first week and here in the States theatre employees are required to tel anyone who buys a ticket for Coco to wait 30 minutes to avoid it altogether.

Now that Coco is succeeding on its own merits, they don't have to put the Frozen cart before the muerto horse like they used to.

Try telling that to Doug. He appears to love Frozen, despite being a shitty movie that's loved by Disney and hated by everyone else.
Just shows how worthless he is as a critic.

Did anyone here ever read FilmBrain's written reviews? I can't seem to find them now that the original TGWTG site is buried but there was one in particular that stood out to me. It was a somewhat negative review of Fantastic Mr. Fox, and the comments were full of people that said stuff like, "Oh, I'm glad I didn't see this!"

I found it after seeing a few of his videos and after that I kinda stopped since you have to be soulless not to like Fantastic Mr. Fox.
