Okay, just to come off from this GF topic for a bit...

I randomly ran into a video that perfectly sums up why is dsp the worst lets player.

A compilation of youtubers who played the game and had this jumpscare. EVERYBODY GOT SCARED OR SURPRISED... Only DSP laughed his ass off. He cant relate to videogame characters cause he do not enjoy playing games. Why would anyone care about his playthroughs if even he doesnt care.

For SF he was fortuitously in the right place at the right time. He broke into Street Fighter when tournaments were limited to a very small selfselected group of fighting game enthusiasts, not necessary the best of the best but those who had the time and will to jet around and expend a large amount of cash for a popular but ultimately niche video game. THEN he rose during a particular year when most of the best of these players were boycotting. THEN to this tournament he happens to be around during the time they are playing with a weird port rather than the standard game.

Yes, exactly. The dude was playing Super Turbo 10 years after it's release when Third Strike had been out for 5 years already. 2000-2008 (when SF4 was released) was a pretty dead time for fighting games.

So my last post got rated "late" a bunch of times, but can someone please fill me in? Is Phil's girlfriend 26 year old Josephine Thompson aka Chimichanga from San Diego or is that just a troll account? Sorry if I'm outta the loop. It's difficult to stay up to date with this thread when you're not here on the regular.

As somebody who has traveled multiple times with connecting flights, i can't understand how one can 'miss' a connecting flight. Even if there is a delay on the first flight, the connecting flight usually gets delayed as well. I am very confident that there are no connecting flights if you are travelling within the states

If she were, I can't conceive of him being this concerned with her "having to wait a day in an airport(as if she's 16 years old)" or having to repeatedly call[threaten?] airline staff on procuring her a room in the meantime. Like, fuck him. Really. He's a gibblet of a man. He has no swag or weight to threaten or demand anything, considering his welfare state business is dependent upon other stay-at-home dad bros or children to stay afloat.

It has to be said the only way someone loses their house or cat is if they are currently in a repayment program that is protecting them from losing/defaulting on either. If he missed a tax payment he wont lose his house. He's been there for 3 years. Could he fall further down the fiscal hole and ultimately have his home seized? Sure. If and only if he violated the repayment contract provided. The IRS or state is not going to take his house because he doesnt make a patreon goal. He exaggerates to his kid and Non-American fans who don't know any better.

Thing thing with the taxes is this whole countdown to January isn't even about the back taxes, this is just the taxes he owes for 2017. I wish I had any confidence that this is actually some kind of problem that will lead to some consequences, but a Phil emergency always ends with him being fine. Either he just wants more money to recuperate the funds he spent trying to con this girl into living with him or he is a greedy asshole. The only thing I know for sure is Phil will bitch about these taxes the rest of his "career."

Hey, I was thinking that he is making this shift to “twitch subs” because he can more easily fudge the numbers since he will never put up a goal counter for his subs. If you think about it, a goal of 300 subs would lead to him hitting the goal every month whether telling the truth or not.

Sounds to me like Philly has found the perfect way to delude himself and his fans that “da streams are doing better than ever guise! Da detractors are pissed we’re doing so good! Ack ack ack ack”

When presented with the actual numbers, I’m sure he’ll use people subbing when the stream is not happening as his excuse.

It’s kinda a no lose situation for Phil and the cult.

I almost think the opposite - this is Phil's opportunity to completely ignore the urgent need to refresh his Patreon goals and perk levels at the expense of apparently pushing for more Twitch subs. Phil genuinely thinks more subs is better than more Patreon bux. He needs 80 (maybe more now he complained about losing some) more subs to get to 350 subs on Twitch before he'll even entertain the idea of doing a goal. So with $2.50 per sub going to Phil and 80 more subs, he's getting $200 a month to do a goal he was getting paid $1250 for on Patreon.

It's beyond idiotic but gives Phil the opportunity to guilt trip people as they didn't 'spread the word and advertise the channel' - Phil knows he makes Mega-bucks from tips and cheers and bits on Twitch so thinks that increasing subs will help bump up the number of people willing to tip. But given how reluctant Phil is to actually do the goal she sets anyway, I doubt he'll lie and say 'Good news guys 350 subs, we can do the goal!' when he can use it to guilt trip his pay pigs when he doesn't get enough subs.

Look at the last few goals:

Mario Sunshine - absolute shit show about him refusing to play it
Halloween Marathon - absolute shit show, failed to meet goal level
Halloween Marathon - second time round, big anonymous donation meant he JUST hit the goal. Phil gets to buy a costume, act like a clown and do 6 hours of work.
PUBG - failed
Christmas Marathon - anonymous big donation and still nearly missed goal - Phils reward is he gets paid $1250 to drink alcohol and play games for 6 hours.

So for 5 months of Patreon he's raised an average of a thousand dollars per month (others have accurate figures) and will have done two marathons, dressed up, drinking. He's refused to play a game that wont make him money, he's had two bites of the cherry for the Halloween goal (because hey, it's worth $2,000+ right?) and only actually done the goals he wants to do because of mysterious anonymous donations.

No WAY he'll pretend he's hit 350 subs if he can avoid anything other than the goals he wants. He's completely given up on giving something back to the fans - the only goals he's hit recently have been ones for his own enjoyment (costumes, alcohol). Any playthrough or patrons choice have been deliberately nixxed.

The best, and worst, part about Phil having a girlfriend is that he won't shut up about it. Since a girlfriend, to him, is a trophy to be displayed, he will constantly talk about 'his girlfriend'. Still, it's hard to fathom how he keeps scoring with at least decent looking girls(We haven't seen her face yet... she might be a butterface). I think we all can agree that younger girls tend to find older men attractive, but Phil isn't good looking, he isn't fit and... he isn't mature. He whines, he cries, he complains and thanks to his 'job' he is a public laughingstock. There're absolutely no perks to dating Phil, he doesn't even fall into the 'funny fat guy' stereotype. Well, maybe she has a crappy personality like Leanna.
Or maybe she's like Purrluna, Angry Joe had to fly her to his home and she only fucked him to grow her e-presence and make her streams popular.

I just hope that his fanbase realizes that they are getting milked dry so that DSP can flex his girlfriend on their faces.

This furthers his narrative about him being a wise and worldly gamer that will now have another avenue to talk down on his audience of children. He will precede to talk about what it's like being in a relationship, how these other people don't get it, and if we're lucky he'll even dole out dating advice (the irony being the advice given was never used by himself being that this gal was captured through fandom).

It's always fun listening to these parts because he makes it sound like this wondrous new experience; which always makes him sound like he's mentally a teenager. He'll throw around having a girlfriend as some sort of qualifier in arguments as if that means something. Not like there aren't billions of people engaged in relationships on this planet or anything.

the guy is a never ending trainwreck. IDK to me he comes off as super desperate. Most girls if you asked to fly them out for a visit they would be hesitant for sure. Showering girls in expensive dinners and wanting to move in on 3rd date is very desperate. So this pretty much has to be some younger fan girl. She can barely navigate an airport.

It’s a way to “cook the books” with little chance of getting caught.

Since at least 2012 DSP has always had a doomsday narrative. He will claim he wants smooth sailing without drama but he never reaches that point. He will think of some crisis to keep his viewers on edge and make it look like he's struggling.
