Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

"The police officer that wrote my accident report had an M-16 assault rifle in his passenger seat. I guess so."

1) This has nothing to do with 'bad' traffic and is a weird way to insert extraneous information
2) No he fucking didn't.

Wu, who sometimes claims bona fides as a 'gun grl' because he was born in the South and supposedly knows how to field strip a Glock (omg such tacticool, much operator) is- again- confusing a two entirely different classes of firearms. Patrol cops who are taking traffic crash reports are not driving around with an NFA regulated rifle (i.e. an M16) sitting there. And most likely the regular, semi-automatic rifle was locked in an upright gun-rack. I understand how someone with little or no knowledge of police or guns would make these mistakes but I have zero doubt that Wu would happily opine and bloviate about such issues despite knowing nothing.

Shotguns have been falling out of favor with police departments as long arms because they don't have the capacity, fast reload or easy recoil of an AR-15. Boston, along with many if not most departments, has been equipping its patrol officers with rifles or carbines instead of shotguns- or, in some cases, in addition to shotguns- in the face of terrorist threats or active shooter situations. It's still not a fucking M-16 though (autos are sometimes used by tactical teams, but that's not this situation).

As much as this pains me, John likely called this (nearly) correctly. Its highly unlikely he had an M-16, but much more likely he had an M-4 (which is what most people would call an M-16). It was most likely Military Surplus through the DoD program that sells military hardware to police departments

As others said, its highly unlikely it was the seat, it was probably in a lock rack between the driver and passenger.

:autism: :offtopic:
There are real super spergy differences between the M-16 and the M-4 but the key one is the M-4 is burst fire, the M-16 is full auto. He may have had what we called a "restamped" M-16 lower (the lower is the part that contains the trigger, selector switch, serial number and magazine/magazine release; as far as the ATF is concerned, this is the gun the rest is replaceable parts) which is the lower from an M-16 that had been changed from full auto to burst, and the "Auto" label on the selector switch pin-stamped to now read "Burst".

Nah. As I mentioned, the kind of patrol officer that is responding to a traffic accident in that area is extremely unlikely to be carrying an automatic (including burst-capable) NFA regulated item near the front seat. The liability of doing so is nuts, especially in an urban environment, to say nothing of the additional training and certifications needed. Patrol divisions typically issue what are called "patrol rifles"- AR-pattern weapons that lack automatic functionality- and even then Boston's more liberal politicians pitched a fit over the guns being issued after the bombing because they look scary. The only likely way that officer is carrying around an actual "assault rifle" is if he happens to be on a tactical team and just does traffic duty in his spare time. Not likely.

Again, I get that lots of people would look at a regular AR-rifle and think "assault rifle" so this isn't moon-rocks level of dumb coming from Wu but it's not the first time he's made this mistake and it surely won't be the last as he pretends to know as much about guns as he does about cars. I'm sure he thinks "AR" stands for "Assault Rifle."

These kind of formal requirements are to ensure the ballot doesn't get shitted up with joke candidates with zero support in the party.

As a member of any political party, I'd check the bona fides of anyone I'd never heard of who wanted a petition signature, and probably would outright refuse if they were challenging a good candidate guaranteed to keep a safe seat. I'd definitely refuse if I looked it up and their agenda was moon rocks and troon cocks.

Yep bingo. And to prevent the opposition from running joke candidates to weaken your party. No Democrat should support Wu.

Wow. I just wish that women could make their own decisions for once without being shamed by some white man.

Why is there white paint on the tire?

Wasn't he a guest on a previous segment of that show? I think it was on RT or something
RT? Isnt even being associated with them political suicide for a democrat right now?

moon rocks and troon cocks.
Best. Negative. Ad. Ever.

I didn't know that but thanks for the good info. I live in Canada and I'm pretty sure it's mostly still shotguns here since we're afraid of anything more modern. At least that's what I remember from the times I spent in a police car (mind you that was over a decade ago) either way good to know and still as always, Wu is an idiot

"As a car repair enthusiast, the best way to repair a crushed bumper is best explained to the layperson as the same way you fix a crushed plastic bottle. Make a small opening by chiseling in a rail spike in the bumper, then insert an automatic bike pump until the bumper reflates with an audible pop. Patch up the hole with household duct tape and paint over it using your average every day house paint while on a dusty dirt path--marginally matching the color of your car, of course. I find the 2-in-1 paint+primer works best."
Too bad he pissed all over Dobson. Sounds like it's right up his alley.

Hmmm. Wu is the laziest, most inconsiderate twat ever to organise a public event. She announced this event 3 months ago and is doing all the leg work at the last possible moment. Any proper organiser would give every purchaser a receipt with tentative dates when they bought the ticket then a second email with a firm date a month beforehand.

I bet she didn't even bother to rent a theatre for the handful of plebs who signed up. My guess is she's just gone and bought a few tickets retail to a regular showing of the movie. I bet that we won't hear anything more about this from Wu publicly and we'll only be able to see the fallout in January's FEC filing.

It's like Emma Clarkson said about Wu, you should never expect her to do work on deadline. It's not like she's busy or anything, she literally has nothing else to do but organise this event.

I spent ages looking for a pic of something like this, then @sparklemilhouse posted just what I was looking for in the youtube autism thread

1: We appear to be in a parking lot , not the open road.
2:damage from the wall the bollard was "protecting".
3:damage from the slightly raised kerb as John pulls away in a panic.

Of course, if the police report turns up I'm going to look like an arse, but then its just for shitposting not fucking a 40 grand sports car.
