Apparently people on Twitter are already freaking out that Trumps first tweet about this was a comment on US infrastructure before he did a thoughts and prayers tweet... and then they shit on him making a thoughts are prayers tweet in general.

It could be nothing but the NTSB should know about that.

Tampering with the tracks caused another Amtrak to detail in the 90s in Arizona.

Part of the issue is the total lack of accountability in that case.

They knew the conductor was driving the train at 105mph in a 55mph curve and declined to prosecute him.

But thanks to some obscure law in PA that allows private parties to bring misdemeanors the AG was forced to file manslaughter charges.

I really feel like they'd shit on Trump no matter what because he's an easy punching bag for a whole pantsload of unfunny people.

I am shocked that they'd want a Talgo shared wheel set on what seems to be quite the windy section of track and route generally. I saw the bridge and such on google earth, it's really rather steep as a corner goes along single line track and probably only good for 50mph running if that.

This train was reportedly doing 80mph at the time of the crash.

To give some historical context, a similar system was used as a stop gap measure in Britbong railways all the ways back in the Edwardian era while other railways were manufacturing their new bogie carriage stock, they created shared wheelsets across shorter carriages purely as a brief money saving measure before disposing of them quite quick.

Talgo's system honestly looks like madness and to try and be as cheap as humanly possible, some of their sets have a half-wheel each across two carriages.

Most of us are not blaming antifa for this. We just find it highly suspect that antifa (namely Its going down) went into a delete everything mode shortly after the train derailed. I don't know if they were responsible and quite frankly the evidence doesn't point toward fowl play. However when you go into delete everything mode, it makes it look like you got something to hide.
