They fuck people more physically repulsive every day. The clientele of prostitutes are not hot studs like in some troon fantasy of what sex work is. They are people who, for whatever reason, are either so repulsive or so inept at being a human that they can't get laid at all. Russ manages to be both. Or, worse, they're abusive fucks whose particular predilections are beyond what they can convince anyone normal to do.
In any event, this vile fuck is so beneath even normal prostitution customer quality that he managed to get banned from the brothels of an entire state. Even if he somehow convinced a court to legalize prostitution in Utah and a bunch of hot Mormon and pagan chicks signed up in droves, he'd soon earn himself a statewide ban even there. Even if he owned a brothel, he'd probably get a stay-away order from the workers there, too, for workplace harassment.

His arguments for his case are deeply flawed. Someone already tried to use the marriage equality ruling as an argument against laws criminalizing prostitution. Obergfell v Hodges was about two people who are in a romantic relationship. The government has the power to regulate commercial activities, including forbidding ones it feels are detrimental to society. Someone already tried this exact argument, and it was rejected on the basis I just stated. The equal protection argument used in Obergfell doesn't apply here because it's illegal for everyone to pay for sex, not just a certain segment of society.

And even Obergefell was a 5-4 decision, with Justice Kennedy the swing vote as usual. He's taking what is a very narrow win on the Supreme Court on a very limited issue, and expanding it vastly to mean shit the decision didn't say.

I think my favorite (and by favorite I mean most infuriating) Russism right now is how he deflects any and all criticism about his lolsuits (and behavior in general) by saying "if you had just read this part of my book you'd understand". It's been said before, but in his mind, of course he can't be wrong, he's just misunderstood, and everyone who doesn't agree with him (or even accurately critiques him) is just unable to understand what he was trying to say. Even before his book, he was using that excuse on people with way more authority and experience than him - judges, police, actual lawyers, women, strippers... it doesn't matter if you have more personal experience or insight to an issue, or if you've gone to school for ten years and done far more research on the subject, Russ will always be in the right on the grounds that "if you don't agree with me, you just don't understand, because if people understand then they'll agree".
