As mentioned already, the contract isn't really meant to have any legal weight, it's meant to be a physical form of a gentleman's agreement, which benefits the escort because it shows she's discreet, and benefits the John because it shows he's trustworthy enough to continue using the escort service. If the escort reveals information because the John broke the contract, she doesn't lose trust within her agency or her clients because he broke the terms.

Nobody is perpetuating anything, we're discussing this rumor, some of us believe in it, some of us don't, and some are sitting on the fence.
