You guys are being too hard on ED imo, for a lot of internet topics it's still an incredibly useful research tool, despite how understaffed it is now. It's probably the most reliable online source of info on things like Chanology, Anonymous, old lolcows, etc. I think one of the main reasons for the decline is how the whole Aesthetic of ED is still so stuck in 2008, where most of the internet was still politically neutral as opposed to the neverending war between the left and alt-right we have now. ED's whole "lulz" ethos doesn't really fit with this, which is why they had to do things like create two seperate articles on Trump, one pro and one anti.

I remember reading one discussion page where the writer of a revenge article uploaded CP and then tarded out when they were reprimanded for it- which was when one of the editors found out that they only wrote the article just so the subject would get off their back.

Personally, I don't think ED is bad per se, as there are a few very well written articles on that site, but I do think that it needs a fuckton of improvement.

1: Get rid of the pop-up advertisements. They're not funny and since they don't make them any money, why do they keep them? I can tolerate them on my desktop PC, but it makes mobile viewing of the site absolute hell.

2: Fix your fucking articles. A lot of articles are either broken or haven't been updated in nearly 9 years. Even the Chris Chan article, which got Chris on the map, is outdated and full of misinformation. It literally just takes a trip to the CWCki.

3: Get better content creators. Okay, to be fair, this one isn't really one that ED themselves can do, as it takes other people to come to the site and add quality content. I feel that ED has a "quantity over quality" policy and while there are some really well-written articles, most are just :autism: and are full of "lmao this dude a faggot he should an hero rn lol lmaoooo!!!!"

Personally, if ED fixes at least one of these, the site would be leagues better in my opinion.
