One of my new co-workers qualifies. She's a black preacher, which isn't the problem, the problem is she tries to tell me what I need to be doing in addition the the stuff I'm already doing. The stuff she wants me to do? Her work, which was inventory.

I politely told her I wasn't going to do what she's perfectly capable of doing, had time to do, and went back to my work. For the rest of the day she'd disappear for an half-hour at a time. Turns out she was complaining to office staff I wasn't doing what she told me to do AND getting on a work computer to do whatever that happened to not be what she wanted me to do.

All this of course after she preached at me that I need to go to church more to be with other believers.

At my old workplace, this girl would flirt with the people attempting to do their jobs instead of doing her own. Since she was being social and she was well-liked, the managers didn't really care that I had to pick up some [if not all] of her slack. Like, first of all, they’re customers, they kinda can tell you what to do. Second, if I talked about ANYONE the way she talks about the people who come in and regularly drop $1000+ on color per week, my ass would be written up. Getting assblasted every time someone breathes funny around you is a waste of time and energy.

I’m also suspicious that she’s messing with things to make me and the other sales associate look bad. I have no concrete proof but a lot of things are turning up disorganized when I know they were in proper order before. Customers don’t mix things up and then put them in neat little stacks or facings, they just wreck shit and leave it for us to fix.
