>we get a thread on felicia day while we're at it
It's like Christmas came twelve months early.

I find that woman so incredibly obnoxious that I'll just cut myself short before I get into a-logging, but it's really like she only knows how to play a quirky lesbian and absolutely nothing else. It's unbelievable she gets work with such a small range. I dunno about her being a lolcow though, maybe I'm missing something, she's always seemed more like an unashamed attention whore to me.

On a sidenote, I have a friend who absolutely hated Felicia's guts for playing some shitty character on Supernatural, but I don't watch shows about gay demon hunters that keep coming back from the dead, so anyone know more about that?

It also misses the point of the religion entirely. I don't know if the Church has an actual answer on this, but it seems like getting slaughtered in a church is a fast-track to heaven tbh.

It also has the assumption that everyone who believe in a religion thinks prayers are magical incantations that somehow automatically do anything you want. This is an absurdly simplistic reduction of what most religious people actually believe to utter nonsense.

Apparently he apologized for his comments on the shooting.View attachment 347703

That's not a real apology. That's a "look what the bad man MADE ME DO" that doesn't even admit what he said was his own fault.

He got in a slapfight with a zombie-eyed fuck like Paul Ryan and was the bigger asshole.

From these two screengrabs alone, it seems apparent that she was playing the same "quirky geek girl" that she is in everything else.

No, but she was the absolutely worst part of Doctor Horrible's Sing along blog, which was actually pretty decent aside from her.

I don't, but my housemates at uni were obsessed with The Guild, which seemed more or less in line with The Big Bang Theory in that it was basically blackface for geek culture. I remember them showing me "(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar" and me wondering what the fuck I was watching.

Felicia's kind of cute I guess, but she's extremely annoying and is one of these people who made a career off being pin-up material for horny nerds. If she'd gone into any other sector of entertainment she's be even more of a nobody.

Dude's a turbo autist atheist. What did you honestly expect?

Christ you sound just like my ex wife.

Its seriously grooming 101. My Grandfather showed me that when I was 11, right along with shave you goddamed neck and don't let a lady pay for anything on a date. This is why we have incels and incels-turned-trannies, dudes who have no fucking clue how to present themselves as anything but a massive disappointment

Wil Wheaton was a guest star on Bill Nye Saves the World (of course). Because Wil didn't have anything to add to the discussion on panspermia because you can only play the "I fucking love science" trope so far, Bill Nye didn't even bother to thank him for being on the show, despite thanking the other guest stars.

The show archived Wil's true presence outside the internet:

Y'know, I actually liked how Felicia Day portrayed Veronica in Fallout New Vegas, she honestly did a good job.

I'm just disappointed she saw fit to turn on gamers as the enemy even though she was a legitimately decent voice actor for a game that is still loved today.

What I love is that I read an interview a while back saying how he now enjoys playing "the guy you love to hate".

This is when he came onto Eureka! as the insufferable Dr Parrish, who was supposed to be a nemesis to Doug Fargo but instead came across as somehow more incompetent than the man who pushed buttons on crazy science experiments to see what'd happen.
There was a brief time I remember when Wheaton finally seemed to be getting over being Wesley and starting to becoming more of a relaxed, likeable person. It's possible that in that time he was doing cameos in stuff like Leverage (wherein he played the "insufferable smug jackass who thinks he can do no wrong") he became the type of characters who he was playing. Don't they all?

I violently dislike the manic pixie dreamgirl quality she affects. Yes, there is more to the character than that if you delve into her story (and really makes the Brotherhood of Steel look like scum, depending on what decisions you make), but a good deal of her character just didn't fit.

I'll give you she was a better v.a. than whoever did Rose of Sharon Cassidy. Blech.

Push comes to shove, I can tolerate Veronica. At least she's not Tallis from Mark of the Assassin. Now there is a hideous character, made worse by the fact Felicia Day wrote it herself.
