Phil and his pay-slaves have a perfect symbiosis. They're happy to fork over cash to get back at us - even though it does nothing - whilst Phil just sits on his gouty bum, plays games, and does nothing.

As to why they think it makes anyone here mad that they're subsidizing one manchild's neverending flight from reality, I have no idea. Every cent they fork over to the King of Gout just makes me laugh all the more. At them, for the sheer stupidity of paying someone over close to six figures a year to suck at games, and at Phil because when the inevitable reckoning comes, he'll have just that little bit more to fall.

To be fair, I've got to give Phil props for his skill at manipulating his merry band of ATMs into giving him cash. Doesn't follow through on Patreon-promised playthroughs? Nothing he could do. May need another fundraiser to pay the constantly-due taxes? Sure, Daddy Phil, whatever you say. Want to get back at the Evil Kiwis and other detractors? Just pay him even more to do something you can easily watch better players do for free. That'll show 'em.

They deserve each other at this point. Can't wait for Donator's Regret to set in, when those fools so easily parted with their money wake up and realize he's played them for every cent he can get and gives -100 fucks about any of them as people.

Go look back at past posts and people being stunned by the donations that pour in when he talks about how shitty his life is. We could try an experiment and say "Hey let's all not talk about Phil for 2 months and see if his business collapses" but there are too many try hards that have no other hobbies in life, just like his fans that need to watch him. And his business wouldn't collapse, he'll still be on the internet, so what if he moves back to CT or a smaller apartment? He's still the goutlord, he wouldn't have learned from that experience.

I know lots of people would love to dance to Phil "losing his house" but that would be a slow process anyways and he would beggathon while people made fun of him and the donations would come pouring in. And really it was like two people who dumped the most of that money in. It doesn't matter whether it's the escort, his back taxes, his nasal drip/throat not-cancer, his back, his break-up, he always has some sort of emergency or drama and he will always play "them vs us" even if there wasn't anybody shitting on him - he's always and underdog to his fans. So yeah blame the escort story, but I don't think anything is the world would have stopped BSV from digging into those pockets to keep Phil around anyways.

I'm not blaming the escort story, though I have my own opinions on the whole thing. Phil said straight out that; that was the reason people rallied behind him for, and that if it never happened he wouldn't have gotten all the help he did. Clearly the taxes were not as big a factor for people's generosity. Not even the redemption runs were a factor.

See this is why I actually laugh at the herd of retarded ESL children and sex perverts who try to donate to Phil to "spite" me. All that money and Phil will remain a miserable child of a man. No matter how much they filch from parents or from their nest eggs, no matter how many mined bits from ads they use, no matter how many of them degenerate into hobos living in a favela due to gutting their wallets (lookin' at you Vidar), Phil will die a depressed and angry drunk, alone in his house with only a chat for company, and begging for more money.

That is the blackest of comedies, and I get it for free.

And the reasons people are dropping MvC:I are because Street Fighter V is where the E-Sports money is at. Capcom are showing way more love to Street Fighter V than Infinite at the moment, so that means more people will be playing the game competitively, which means tournaments will have a bigger pot and there's more chance of people keeping/getting sponsorship deals if you're focusing on playing a game that's bringing in the money.

tldr - Phil doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about, and thinks every fighting game should be like the magical game he was once decent at.

It's even more bizarre considering Phil played all of the previous entries (excluding Ultimate MvC 3 which he avoided most likely because he internally realized he was completely ass at it).

For all the debts he has making 90K a year pretty much keeps him even. I doubt he will make that much on youtube next year as well.

Phil's just trying to guilt trolls into leaving him alone so he can lie harder. Everyone that's kept up with him semi-regularly isn't shocked he got a boon of money on the holidays from his paypigs, they're more mad a guy with two houses and a new car presented it as a charity/fundraiser. Remember that two people made up the bulk of the funds, it wasn't some huge army of fans that combined their efforts. The die hard fans are so indoctrinated at this point he doesn't even to ask at this point, honestly. They likely budget around giving him money on specific times.

Yes but whatever lossed revenue he sees from YouTube he's going to remake (and then some) on Twitch. I honestly believe he'll make more, albeit not significantly more, this year. The rate people throw bits, cheers, and subs is really going to put more in his pocket. You can block his revenue on YouTube with adblocker or watching videos on other channels so that his views per video are greatly diminished. On Twitch it's viewers straight handing him cash.
